Rumi's Kitchen first opened more than a decade ago in Atlanta, the result of years of development by Chef / Owner Ali Mesghali. Showcasing the flavors of Iran -- fresh herbs, kabobs cooked over an open-fire grill -- quickly won loyal guests at the original location in Sandy Springs, GA and set us on pace to open our first restaurant outside of Georgia in 2020. Rumi was a 13th-century Persian poet whose words and life teach us how to find inner peace, happiness and love. We invite you to Rumi’s Kitchen where fresh, healthy food and attentive Persian hospitality await you.

Really good meal. Place was super busy for a Tuesday night and quite loud. Nice, warm ambience. Food was outstanding. We started with marinated olives and lamb hummus both of which were excellent. Value was pretty good given quality. My only slight nits were long wait (with reservation) and service that felt rushed. It felt like they were looking to turn table from the moment we got our food. Hostess “checked in” 3 times over course of 15-20 mins after we got our entree. Obviously trying to ascertain how much longer we would be. But I’d definitely go back.

Very busy time for the restaurant but they took care of each party that was delayed in their reservation time with a complimentary appetizer. The food was excellent, the service was fantastic, and the experience was top notch. Will certainly be back soon.

Lambshank and salmon were both excellent. Each came with enough rice to feed 2 or 3 people. I would have preferred less rice and a vegetable. The server (Gabriel) did a great job of describing the dishes and recommending complementary wines and did NOT upsell with the wine recommendations. He was present when and only when needed. I indicated that it was my birthday celebration when I reserved the table on Open Table and there was no mention of that fact, so don't come here expecting a free desert for your birthday. I'm guessing people lie about that all the time and this is their not-unreasonable reaction.

The kichen ventalion was poor, smell of food was overwhelming when we entered the Rumi. The herb plate was wilted. That shouldn’t have been served to any customer. overall, it fell short of my expectation. Not impressed.
