    I don’t like to speak ill of any restaurant because I know it is so hard to keep all aspects running as one. I’ll say this, my recent visit did not live up to the namesake reputation. Not even close. Very disappointed.

    The escargot was absolutely delicious. One of the best I have ever had but different from Italy and France. The salmon and the pastry was good. The pastry crust is only fair.

    I had a wonderful experience today at the Russian Tea Room NYC. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I had the vegetarian afternoon tea and it was delicious. I will definitely be back next time I am in NYC.

    The legend lived up to the myth! Everything about this restaurant is true: classic, authentic, fantastic. The food was great, the drink selections impressive, and the staff professional and knowledgeable. It's a must visit when in New York.

    The food and tea were very good. The service was not great. The waiter seemed distracted with an argument at first, then just slow to get his attention as he got some other tables. For the price, I would expect more attentive service. Another waiter finally helped after I tried multiple times to get our waiters attention.
