The experience was lovely. I hope the owners consider live music as the warm weather increases.

The summer sprits was amazing, and the French toast was finger licking good. I will definitely come back to dine outside.

Second visit in two weeks. Sat barside with a friend from California. Service was quite sparse during this early happy hour visit on a rainy Wednesday. Waiter was certainly nice but forgot about us throughout our time, forgot our drinks, forgot drink garnishes, and generally seemed overloaded in a normal happy hour flow. A few small oysters to start especially with half off at HH. Again - apparently the softshell is a hit; my friend was happy with her SS platter. I ordered fries and Chesapeake coddies. I’ll cut to chase: neither were warm and the portions, vs price and expectation, were underwhelming. A coddie should not be less than the size of a ping pong ball. And fries are cheap and should come plentiful. If it seems like my three reviews here have expressed disappointment it’s because with the amazing space and location, and price… I’m expecting the best every-time I walk in and I just haven’t experienced that yet.

After reopening we decided to give it a try. It’s still an awesome location and love the new outdoor bar . The food was ok but small portions and not impressed. Our biggest issue is with the service. Our waitress started off very friendly, helpful and bubbly BUT that instantly changed when she saw my Jewish star necklace .. she immediately became rude dismissive and wouldn’t look us in the eye. Didn’t come back to table except to give us check . Clearly antisemitic and will not return for that reason, quite sure the management could care less .

It’s a lovely location on the water, even on a rainy day. We were seated promptly and greeted so at the booth. My business confidant was impressed and we both enjoyed the light nautical themes. I was worried the menu was going to be a bit heavy but for lunch we found some agreeable items. 1/2 doz oysters, Softshell crab sandwich for him and chicken rice bowl for me. The oysters came almost without hesitation. They were very small but cold, flavorful, fresh. We slurped them down quickly. We did not expect to wait so long for the main meal; it took over 20 minutes. When they did arrive, we were very hungry so maybe that’s the tactic. Apparently the crab sandwich was perfect and my guest loved it. My rice bowl was flavorful with many textures. But it wasn’t enough. There was barely any chicken and with that in the title, I expected more. The dish was nice but not filling. I wanted more protein and I left hungry. So hungry I ate a bison-cranberry jerky when I got back from lunch. For the price, and the fact the dish is mostly inexpensive rice and a few slices of mixed veggies and sauce, a fat piece or multiples of cluckery should feature. Looking forward to a third visit here where I am blown away. But I do recommend a visit.
