   A convenient location and a dependable restaurant for good food. A little less ‘perfect’ this time. Table needed to be cleaned more carefully. As I did this in front of the server there was no intention for her to assist. Music was loader than normal making it difficult to speak across the booth space. Wine is far too expensive as it is in most restaurants. These prices are reducing the number of times we eat out.

   Great accompany to our date. A great free sample of a lobster dish, and the service was friendly and pleasant. I would recommend a good date night out here.

   One of my favourite place to dine. However, not sure what happened last night, appetizers came just warm. Maybe it was sitting there for too long before it was served to us. Entree came less than 5 minutes after appetizer and temperature was also a bit low. But the steak was perfectly cooked the way I wanted. Service was amazing as usual.

   Showed up for reservation but they told us they were closed. We told them their hours show open and they even have a happy hour menu, and are accepting reservations. Then they admitted they closed the kitchen early because it wasn’t busy. Pretty unprofessional and we were very disappointed as we drove all the way over assuming they were open since we had a reservation..

   Great food and service but given the time of year, do NOT sit to the room on the left as a freezing cold breeze hit our table every time a new customer walked in.

    Disappointing. We have always held S&L in high regard. Had several good meals there. That was not the case during our last visit Jan 9. We made our reservation a week or so earlier. We were put in a back corner where the lighting was so poor we had to move. Appie and beer were fine. I ordered the flat iron steak with add on side of mushrooms. Mashed potatoes were lumpy. And the mushrooms were served with a dollop of cold sour cream on top. I had these replaced. The steak was tough. One guest ordered then wellness bowl but they forgot the avocado - the key ingredient. We had to send the bill back when both orders of mushrooms were on it. We had heard the quality and service were on the decline and this kinda reinforced that feedback. Don’t think we’ll go back. Lots of other options in Langley.
