   Sadelle's was a perfect experience. I met a girlfriend for brunch on a Wednesday. Made reservations in advance. Was moderately full/buzzy - nice vibe - and as expected for the Highland Park Village a gorgeous interior but not too stuffy/snobby. It was bright, light, airy. The hostess was quick and friendly. Our waiter was perfection. Knew the menu, made recommendations, was honest, never "bothered" or over serviced us with interruption - never wanted for anything and never felt interrupted. I had the bagel with full salmon/veggie service and it was DIVINE. My friend said it was the best cappucino she'd ever had - and she had the veal dumplings (gorgeous and tasty) and the cheese blintz. My iced was perfect and we were there 1.5 hours because who would want to leave. Parking is always a challenge but you can park across the street in their designated lot and a SHORT walk to the restaurant that is on the corner behind Chanel. If I lived closer I'd go weekly!

   Despite the delicious food and caring service, the restaurant was painfully noisy. We will not go back at such a busy time as Saturday lunch.

   The hostess was incredibly unhelpful and told us the wait would be 45 minutes, even though the restaurant was half empty on a Thursday at 11:30am. While standing right next to her, I pulled up the OpenTable app, saw plenty of availability, and booked a table on the spot. I even showed her, but she still made us wait. Afterward, she gave some weird excuse and honestly didn’t seem to be doing her job. Not sure if she was just having a bad day, but she came off as rude and dismissive. Definitely needs some retraining in basic hospitality. The food was average at best. The eggs Benedict were mediocre, and overall, the experience didn’t come close to Sadelle’s in NYC, where both the food and service were far more impressive and accommodating.

   The salami omelet is so good—definitely my favorite. Brunch here is always solid. Consistent food, good vibes, and great service every time.

   The Manager is still as nice as ever but the food just not as good as before, maybe just because they’re busy… asked to make sure the soup would be served hot, but it came out cold. Also, the dish wasn’t very clean. The waiter said the mark was from my soup, but I honestly found that hard to believe.. 😂

   Breakfast date with my daughter. Great service, love the old school vibe. The pancakes were the best I’ve had in awhile and so big I didn’t finish them. Going to be our go-to breakfast place when I visit her at school.
