I did the prefix christmas dinner. Starter salad wilted lettuce. Second plate, scallops did not have a crispy sear, Third plate, I requested a well done ny steak, red center and sooo fatty. Dessert plate, cobble was soft not crisp. Hostest took a one cocktail off the bill for my troubles...lame.

A couple of women brought a large barking dog into the dinning room. Eventually, they asked the owners to take the dog back to their room so that was good, but it should not have been in there in the first place .

The coffee was great and the salad was great. But that’s as far as I can go. Spending almost $200 for a Christmas Brunch, one would expect something nice. It was awful! The eggs were old and cold, the bacon was sitting in grease, the sausage pieces were so over cooked they were sticking to the pan. The little pancakes were dry and hard. The lamb was dry and no chutney or sauce or anything. We were so disappointed. They should be embarrassed charging $75 a person. The service was fine but it was a buffet.

Excellent service. Food presentation only average. Quality of food revealed salmon texture to be mushy and farm raised. Filet of beef over cooked.

We had a lovely meal. Sat at the bar. Katie was our bartender/ server. She was wonderful. Super friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable and professional. We can’t want to come back again. Thank you so much.

Beautiful dining room at Sage Lodge. Booked a table for the thanksgiving dinner. Very disappointed they ran out if stuffing at 6:45. My plate was mostly Brussels sprouts and dark meat. Meh. Butternut Squash soup was sublime. Dessert which was to be an apple galette was just a pepperidge farm style puff pastry shell with a small amount of apple and ice cream. My husband said his pumpkin cheesecake was simple tasting. Too mild. We’ll go back but for the price, it was a miss.

The menu had 4 entrees and they were out of one at 6p. The chicken dish was average - a bit dry. They didn't have oranges and were out of Buffalo Trace (that was a $6 upcharge), so "upgraded" without asking to a bourbon that was an additional $9. The drink was already $18+. The meal was about $300 for 2 people. We expect better when we pay that much. Manager never checked on the table to express to them.

I can see why I’ve heard so much about this place and why it has always been a mixed bag of reviews. The atmosphere and the service were the high points of the evening but other than that it wasn’t anything too spectacular. Ordered the chicken which was lackluster and filled with bones (only knock on service as she didn’t inform us it was a bone-in chicken). Beer also came out in a tiny mason jar which didn’t make any sense nor fit the vibe of the location. Cocktail menu was average and overpriced for how average it was and the wine menu was nothing too exciting. Tuna Tartar was the best dish which is a shame because that was the starter.

Tenderloin was good, chicken was dry and bland. Service good until the server’s friends showed up at the table next to us. Views are lovely. Overall not impressed and definitely not worth the cost.

We have traveled all over the country, and this is one of our favorites. We love the lodge as well. Food is always amazing and wine selection is great! The outlaw brewing pot shot Pilsner beer was fantastic as well! Service is always attentive and kind.
