   We had requested a specific table a month ago and was promised that table. When we arrived for our reservation we were seated 20 minutes after the reservation time at a table we did not choose. It took over 15 minutes to get our first drinks and then the waiter disappeared for quite a while. There are so many great restaurants in town with better service.

   It was our second time dining there and the experience was fantastic. The waitress was phenomenal, the food was amazing, and the deserts were unique and astounding.

   Ambiance, music, and cocktails—simply incredible! The live music was the highlight for me; the singer was so talented that I could have sat and listened all night. The food was good but has room for improvement. The service was friendly and attentive. Very nice place to visit, recommend.

   This is a beautiful restaurant with unique dishes and cocktails. However, if you are new to it and don’t know how pretty and fun the main dining room seems, they put you in a side dark room with tables and little to no ambiance. This was very disappointing to us once we realized what we were missing and a huge missed opportunity for the restaurant to attract new customers as we most likely will not return. The service was excellent, our waitress Cassie knew her products. The cocktails with pricey, but well done, the wine list was had very nice wines that were not outrageously priced. As far as the food, the bouillabaisse was excellent but the duck was dry, as was the salmon palette cleanser. The starters were okay, meant to share but the portions were really too small to share with more than 1 person. Finally, this is nit picky, but a restaurant of this caliber should know better- our bottle of white wine was served in red Bordeaux glasses, and finally the serving assistants served the men first often which is unusual if following proper dining etiquette. We were overall disappointed. With so many great restaurants in the area, this one needs to up its’ game.

   Every bite was a delight from the foie gras to the wild boar stuffed tortellini. My husband and friend had the duck and said it was delicious. Quiet, sophisticated atmosphere. Excellent service.

   Ambiance set the tone for an excellent dining experience. Our waiter Tim was excellent. Caprese Salad and Seared Scallops were best of the evening…with the fun of the Flamingo mocktail adding to the fun

   Review for Sage Restaurant I visited Sage in Sarasota, hoping for a memorable dining experience, but it turned out to be quite forgettable. The service was a highlight; the waiters were very nice and tried their best to make the evening pleasant. However, the food was incredibly mediocre. Nothing stood out in terms of flavor or presentation; it was all just okay. One particularly disappointing moment was when a drink was spilled on our table. Instead of immediately addressing the spill, one of the waiters attempted to place an hors d’oeuvre right into the mess, which was quite off-putting. It felt like faux-fine dining at best. Overall, while the staff was friendly, the culinary experience didn’t match the ambiance or the price point. If you’re looking for a genuinely upscale dining experience, you might want to look elsewhere.

   Always exceptional cuisine- taste treat/ perfect flavor and portion sizes. From cocktails to dessert! Try the chocolate mousse cake…. Possibly best dessert I’ve ever had! Took out of town “foodie” guests- they were impressed. Katie our server was spot on with everything!!
