Disappointed in our experience at this restaurant. I took my niece and nephew so they could experience “little Italy” sinning. I received my mushroom pizza (with canned mushrooms; not fresh) 15 mins before they received their entrees. My niece politely asked for parmesan and the waitress brought it but quickly took it away before she was done with it. Much too pricey for service and food quality. Would not recommend it.

The quality of the food was superb, one of our group ordered pizza and thought it was fantastic, the Pasta Fagioli soup was hearty and good although a little under seasoned, But after some salt and pepper excellent, the Italian Sausage amd Brocolli Rab was superb, as was the Linguini with White Clam Sauce. Only real let down was the Calamari which was bland and underwhelming. It was under Seasoned, and not particulqrly crispy. I would order a pizza as an app instead. Incedently my daughter; who hates everything, loved the Manicotti. Overall great spot. Ill be back next trip to NYC.

There were very good options and the food is amazing. The bread used I'd very fresh. That's something I loved the most.

The calzones were hardly filled with any cheese. What a ripoff! My family has been eating at Sal’s for 30 years and the deep fried calzones were always the thing we looked forward to the most. When the calzones came out, they were flat. What am I paying $12 for? A piece of deep fried dough? This is not the first time this happened. I visited with my brothers and sister about two months ago and the calzones were just as pathetic. This is the last time my family and I will be visiting Sal’s. On top of the disappointing calzones, the wait staff added a $30 gratuity. Where was the service? She brought over 6 beers and 8 barely filled calzones. This was not a 5 course meal. SAD!
