Our food was very good but not hot enough. I made a reservation so we could sit outside but we were told there were no outdoor tables and that the restaurant closes at 2. Our reservation was for 2! Not sure I would recommend.

Seated at a dirty table with food stuck to the placemat. Service was slow. Food was served cold, dry, and without much flavor - except the crab cake, but it was an awful flavor. Lunch for three people (one drink each) was over $200.

We came here for birthday dinner. Place looks elegant and if you get window table views of sunset are beautiful. Tried two cocktails Flower on the bay and SMR spritz - both nice and light. Trio of oysters was delicious especially their fried oysters - nice, big and plump and local. Since we don’t like raw oysters we got them switched to fried with no issues. Complimentary rolls were soft, warm and fluffy but accompanying butter for my taste was overly sweet! As our entrees we got rockfish and spiced rack of lamb. Fish was cooked well and paired well with buttermilk sauce. As for lamb I didn’t care much for spiced crust it was covered in but mint pea puree was silky and tasty. Overall food was good but I’m not sure I would order same entrees again except fried oysters those were delicious! For dessert we split Melba pudding - warm spiced cake with vanilla ice cream - it was ok. Our waitress was very nice and attentive although she seemed inexperienced and not very knowledgeable about menu and food.

The newly renovated Salt & Meadow offers a beautiful and serene ambiance that immediately sets a relaxing tone—a perfect complement to the scenic surroundings of the Tides Inn. This was my second breakfast visit, and while the setting continues to impress, the service unfortunately does not live up to the same standard. There is clear potential here, but the restaurant seems to struggle with basic service execution, especially during breakfast hours. Upon arrival, I waited nearly ten minutes to be seated after being assured by multiple staff members that someone would assist me shortly. The breakfast staff, while polite, lack the polish and professionalism of their dinner counterparts. Service was consistently underwhelming. For instance, each time the server poured water, it spilled onto the table and was never wiped up. It also took a noticeably long time for food to arrive from the kitchen—problematic when serving hot breakfast items, which quickly lose appeal once cold. My eggs were overcooked, and getting the attention of a server for a simple request or the check was frustratingly difficult. It’s unclear whether the issues stem from being short-staffed or from poor scheduling that doesn't accommodate a busy breakfast crowd. Either way, it affects the guest experience. The kitchen also closes sharply at 11:00 a.m. on Sundays, which is not well-communicated or supported operationally. If you can’t place your order before then—because of the service delays—you’re out of luck. Even drink orders are cut off promptly at 11:00 a.m., with staff appearing to rush guests out to prepare for lunch service. Salt & Meadow has the potential to be an exceptional restaurant. The atmosphere is lovely, and the setting is ideal. But until the service—especially during breakfast—is improved, it remains a place that falls short of expectations. A stronger focus on training, staffing, and guest experience could elevate this restaurant from good to great.

We had an excellent Mothers Day lunch with old friends. Our waiter was excellent and took good care of us. The food was delicious, from the appetizers to the seafood and dessert buffets. Our only comment is that the buffet, and price, weren’t mentioned on the website.

Have been to the Tides many times before and was looking forward to trying the new restaurant. It is beautiful and modern which the update was much needed. Our table was not set properly, no side plates, missing items. The server was very nice but needs a bit of coaching. She immediately asked us for drink orders but then did not give us a cocktail menu. We waited and then ordered drinks and then found out there was no bartender so she made them herself (one she never made before). They we not bad but for the cost and the fact that we were at a resort, I was really surprised there was no bartender on duty on a Friday afternoon. We then waited 25 minutes for them and then we ordered and waited a long long time for sandwiches. Ordered oysters and there were no oyster forks. She offered us dessert but no coffee nor did we see a dessert menu or anything. I love the Tides and the vibe but cost is not commensurate with the experience. I would not have even left a review except I am rooting for you to either fix the experience or bring a more moderate menu/price that fits the region.

Great setting. Wonderful staff. One meal, crab cake sandwich was great. Caesar salad with grilled chicken was disgusting. The chicken was gray, chewy, fatty, with a weird taste. I’ve never had any chicken that ever looked like that or had that texture or was that awful. The server was great about it, the manager checked on our table and offered to make something else. And they would take off the price for the chicken. This was appropriate and appreciated. . I just ate the salad and left the chicken and hope they make serious adjustments to the chicken. I’ll go back as it probably was a one off. I hope so. Great spot and lovely people.

The food at Salt & Meadow was disappointing, I expected much more for the cost. It was bland and a very small portion. Our experience at the restaurant bar was not good. We sat there for fifteen minutes and weren’t acknowledged until we got up to leave.
