Sat outside on the patio in the beautiful weather, many customers had their dogs but you wouldn’t have known it. Food and service was excellent.

Let’s first start with the Nats or whatever those black bugs are. We had to ask for another glass of water and we were constantly fishing out the bugs out of our wine. I’ve had this many times at the restaurant and never complained till today. I think you should ask customers if they would like a cover for their water and wine. Because of it being an ongoing problem for years now it’s getting wearing. Thank you

I specifically chose this restaurant for the table by the pond with beautiful vineyard views because we had guests from Illinois. I called the restaurant at noon day of reservation to verify a table around the pond. They said of course you get one and it says that on your reservation. When we arrived on time they said you weren’t guaranteed a table in that area it was just a suggestion. We were seated on a patio next to three adults with two screaming toddlers running around inside and outside while parents ignored them. It was loud and distracting. Food was average compared to other Sonoma restaurants. I’ve been to Salt and Stone on many occasions and I’ll never go back. Too many other beautiful locations but mostly around Healdsburg. I’ll tell my friends.

Great oysters, beer selection, and craft cocktails. My salmon was slightly overcooked, but still very tasty. The bread and butter was also very delicious

On a Monday evening, Salt and Stone was busy but not crowded. We were seated promptly. Water was offered and delivered quickly. After a bit of a wait, our server clearly explained the menu options and a plate of really good warm sourdough was delivered. After a much longer bit of a wait, he returned to take our order. Our party of four ordered the (excellent) Charcuterie and Cheese Board and two of us ordered a cup of the lovely Cream of Carrot soup. One of our friends had the Blackened Snapper which he thoroughly enjoyed. The other had the Seafood Pasta and had very positive comments. My wife’s Filet Mignon was on the rare side of her requested medium rare. She felt it was over-seasoned with pepper. My Seafood Stew was great! A huge portion of perfectly prepared fish and shellfish in a tomato broth that was seasoned just right for my taste. Among the best I’ve had. After another extended wait, two couples each ordered a Chocolate Chip and Blueberry Bread Pudding desert special to share. Not the highlight of the evening. I suspect the restaurant was short a server or two as the reason for the disappearance of our server for extended periods, but fortunately we were not in a hurry. We’ll definitely return, but my wife won’t order the Filet.

Hubby had the ribeye with shrimp. The shrimp came as boiled with no flavor. I had the filet mignon & my son had the 9oz steak. Overall the food was good except for the unflavored/bland shrimps.
