A Sensory and Culinary Masterpiece Last night, my wife and I celebrated Valentine’s Day with our fourth visit to Salt & the Cellar, and once again, it was pure perfection. From the moment we stepped inside the high-scale boutique hotel that houses this gem, we were captivated. The ambiance exudes elegance and class, the lobby itself is a work of art, and the signature scent in the air? Absolutely divine. It sets the stage for an evening of indulgence. Then came the food. The tuna pizza? A showstopper. The duck and filet mignon? Out of this world—expertly cooked, rich in flavor, and unforgettable. And the desserts? The Chocolate in a Cup and Chocolate Cigar with passion fruit mousse are simply unbeatable. The perfect balance of decadence and brightness. But what truly makes this place extraordinary is the elegance and class of the lady owner, who is always present, ensuring perfection. She tends to the tables, supports her team, and makes sure every detail is flawless. Her passion and dedication shine through in every aspect of the restaurant. And then there’s Paul. If Salt & the Cellar is a five-star experience, Paul makes it a six. His service was flawless, his timing impeccable, and his passion for hospitality undeniable. Paul anticipated everything before we even asked. Paul made our night perfect. Salt & the Cellar isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience. From the breathtaking ambiance to the meticulous attention to detail, it’s a place that lingers in your mind long after you leave. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out on one of the finest dining experiences imaginable. And when you go? Ask for Paul. And be sure to appreciate the remarkable owner who makes this place the masterpiece it is.

I was looking for a great experience and this place did not disappoint, we started off at the bar and I would highly recommend doing so. The bartenders are masters at their craft and are definitely mix oologists. My wife enjoyed a smoked expresso martini and I got to enjoy and off menu gin cocktail that was original and very good. Then we were off to the table where Rafael discussed the menu in detail and answered any questions we had. We ordered the tuna pizza and it was incredible, light and full of flavor. We also got the chef special sushi roll and again very good. Next was entrées. I got the sea bass and my wife had the scallops. Everything was cooked perfectly. If I was to make a complaint it was the squid ink pasta that is served with the bass needs less ink and less garlic. Very flavorful but just too rich. We were so full we passed on desert. I would go back again. Prices for drinks are high but worth it.

We went here before and it was amazing and we were looking forward to coming back but was highly disappointed this time. I booked an outside reservation as that is where we wanted to sit because we sat there last time. This was for our anniversary night and was supposed to be to just as special as last time we went the Valentine’s Day before but we were disappointed. We did not get the outside reservation we placed and then did not get the best service . The fries came out cold and I asked for medium well steak but received medium rare . The Brussels sprouts recipe must have changed because this time they were extra spicy. Overall the amount we pay for dinner should be reflected in the service and food quality.
