   I would like to note that this restaurant has a very high level of service, excellent food, large portions and very friendly staff. I celebrated my birthday and they brought me a bowl with ice cream and a candle to congratulate me on my birthday! It was so nice and pleasant! The place is very clean and very nice, good serving. My young man and I were very surprised and very happy because we chose such a great place to spend our birthday. Gorgeous view of the ocean in Galway City. I highly recommend this place for celebrations and just relaxing at the bar on a hot or cold day with a glass of some delicious cocktails. And since we do not drink alcohol, we ordered non-alcoholic cocktails and I was very surprised because they were very tasty.

   The service was completely haphazard. The manager apologized to us several times about the poor service - which didn’t improve. It wasn’t even busy.

    The restaurant was not busy but it is a hotel in low season so to be expected. The servers were friendly and we were hopeful for a lovely evening with family. The first red flag was that the chef would only serve the beef pink. My husband requested for it to be med-well done and the chef refused! So much for the customer always being right…my husband had the chicken instead. After a lovely main course I was hassled by the staff to order desert as the restaurant was closed at 9pm, on a Saturday night. We had to finish our wine in the bar…Not the staffs fault but management and chef have a very unusual approach to their business. Disappointing we won’t be back. I wouldn’t recommend it to a friend.
