   Was not impressed in the least; waiter was late arriving this evening! He was very inexperienced at a normally fine dinner dining establishment! Timely attendance at the table was poor. The meal was substandard to all previous attendances; the escargot’s were good but lacked the proper number utensils for two people, the serving had excess butter and garlic as the shells almost floated in the volume of juices. The shrimp and pasta were properly prepared with large and very fresh shrimp. The bouillabaisse was however unique! The tomato based broth had an unusual flavor as I could not detect what was off but it wasn’t tasty, it left a residual taste in your mouth. The snow crab legs were small, didn’t look fresh, over cooked and tasteless, the shrimp was a less quality than the shrimp dinner mentioned above. The balance of the shell fish and salmon were ok. Overall the dish was improperly prepared and overcooked. Desert of a pastry puff with cream cheese was unique, as they were pastry wafers, layered with cream cheese and strawberries. The pastry was dry and overly flaky. Not really fresh. First really lousy meal in years! What changed, nothing worked from the kitchen. The waiter really wasn’t trained for working in this normally higher grade restaurant!!

   Waitress was nice and got our order right but service was sooo slow. Waited 15mins for the check.

   We love Salut as it gives us that Paris bistro feel in Minneapolis (Edina). There are classic plates, and excellent service. A thoroughly enjoyable evening!

   My salad was served with half the ingredients and wilted lettuce. When I called it to the server’s attention she appropriately offered to remove it from the bill.

   Amazing experience (as usual) at Salut! We love everything about this place, including my fav cocktail, the smokin Cosmo! This was a special dinner with family in town and included a French family member who is also a wonderful cook. He loved it too! Fantastic food, perfect service and an all around great vibe. Highly recommend!

   The food was amazing and the mashed potatoes were the best I've ever had! Our server was also outstanding and we even got a free dessert for our anniversary! I will definitely be back and be telling my friends about this place.

   Salut is cute. A little kitchy for a French-themed restaurant, but fun none the less. We were seated toward the back and it was warm, quieter than the front, and comfortable. Our party of 4 was there to celebrate three birthdays in the group. The service was great. Cocktails were lovely and just as we expected. The following food was great and we'd absolutely order it again: Pomme frites, french onion soup, steak frites, escargot. The beef bouguignon was super flavorful, some of the beef was just slightly overcooked (dry). The tuna nicoise was okay -- very interesting and different than expected (it included asparagus and green beans and did not include anchovies, which we expected would come as standard to that dish). Wouldn't order the tuna nicoise again if you're looking for the classic version. The free / complimentary birthday profiteroles were generous in size and came delivered to the table with festive sparklers. The chocolate mousse is a generous portion, and after a full meal, should be shared -- so rich and delicious. We all agreed we would be happy to return to Salut. Note: I wouldn't order the house wine. Pay the few extra bucks for a nicer glass. :)

    I haven't always loved this place. For one thing, it's not necessarily a good "value." But lunch today was really very good, in particular the two-fish duet entree. So Salut has moved up a notch for me.
