Originally built in 1887 as the third post office in Queensland, the iconic Sandgate Post Office has a new lease on life. Stylish and quintessentially Sandgate, it is a destination venue with an elegant gastro-pub restaurant, a vibrant main bar, a whiskey vault and sun-soaked alfresco dining.

Standing proud in Sandgate for 135 years, the heritage of the building has been embraced with a renovation that honours the role the Post Office has had in the community for over a century. Located on the corner of Bowser Parade and Rainbow Street across the road from the Sandgate rail station, it is once again set to be a landmark for the Sandgate community.

From your first sip, to the last bite, go on a journey of good food, great service and Sandgate hospitality.

We are well known for our rotisserie meats, steaks, sandcrab lasagne and gluten free food/desserts.

Air con was too hot for a hot night. Trivia was good but a bench seat was hard for a group. I asked for water jugs and glasses three times before trivia and it was only once it had started that the staff put them out. They should be there before trivia as I spent too long waiting to ask for this

Good to die for. To a while to get drinks then the meal. But company was great. Could spoilt the bill easily. Always seems to have things on the menu and drinks menu not available. Odd. But will come back for sure.

You must eat at the Post Office the food was Outstanding . The service was great. The chef was amazing the food was just delicious.

Thank you for a fabulous long lunch for my group of 4 friends. The food was delicious, the ambience was great and the service by staff was attentive and professional. First time visitor - we'll be back again soon.
