Excellent service and wonderful food. Our margaritas were perfect and our waiter, Armando was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend the tacos, catch of the day and ceviche!

We ended up not eating there after we looked inside of the restaurant. It looked less than inviting and not clean. I’m top of that we were aggressively attacked verbally by a person who was supposed to advertise the restaurant I assume. It did not look like a place that we would be comfortable eating.

If you like staring into a parking lot or get eaten alive by mosquitoes, then this is a place for you. The octopus was pricey and weirdly, it was sweet instead of savory. Overall, very disappointed.

Beautiful rooftop dining! A friend recommended to us, and we're so glad we went! Had the cheese dip (it was huge, delicious and great for sharing!), the blackened sea bass, and the octopus tacos. All was cooked well, and presented beautifully.

We enjoy Santo Pulpo and it's close to our resort so we usually eat there several times during our visits to San Jose. There has been some investment in the decor and the addition of a deck on the 2nd story - the place looks nice and modern. The food hasn't changed much from last season and it was tasty and well presented. Lots of seafood choices and a favorite is the fish and chips where sea bass is used rather than cod. Our main issue is a poor selection of wine and the wine that is available is way overpriced - this could be addressed and it would benefit the overall experience.
