We had high hopes that unfortunately were not lived up to. Made a dinner reservation for 8pm and even though half the restaurant was empty, it took them 15 minutes to seat us after acknowledging our arrival (no apology). After ordering appetizers, we were informed they did not have any tuna (at a sushi restaurant!). Upon ordering entrees, they were out of two other things we tried ordering - but did not share this until after we ordered, all of which would’ve been helpful up front. Final straw for us was being charged $60 for a $30 entree, which easily could’ve gone unnoticed if not closely looking at the receipt. After discussion with the manager they comped two appetizers, but the service was still one of the more disappointing I’ve experienced in awhile, especially at such a well rated restaurant. The only saving grace was that all food was great.

The ambiance was a bit lacking and the restaurant was cold, the table of six across from us all wore their ski hats throughout the meal. And I had the keep my jacket wrapped around me. The food was pretty good, though my partner’s ribs were a bit dry. The portions were large and our waitress was attentive, but overall it felt like it had potential but they aren’t quite there yet.

SAOLA is a really great Gem of a restaurant near Cottonwood Heights in Salt Lake City! Excellent service from Tara at the bar. The Pho is one of the tastiest ever! Check out SAOLA!

From appetizers to desert the meal was great!! There are so many awesome appetizers that you could make a meal just eating them. I've tried the sea bass, salmon, shrimp with noodles, Pho and each entree was great.

Having dined here multiple times it was very disappointing to bring friends and have such a terrible experience with the service. We arrived at 6:30pm and ordered drinks when we were seated. We ordered our food shortly after that. We did not finish our meal until 9:00pm due to the delay in receiving our order.

Took my Mom here for her 70th Birthday! I made a great choice. We opted for some small plates, we went with Szechwan Dumplings, mint salad, shrimp and mango, pad Thai and fried rice with steak. All the flavors blended well together, yet so uniquely different. The drinks were delicious, I had the One Night In Bangkok, SO YUMMY! Service was on point, they were sincere, warm, and friendly. Highly recommend this place!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
