Food was superb. Service was great and the staff were very attentive. Only small criticism are the table for 2 being close together so can hear each others conversations.

The food was tasty, particularly the truffle egg sandwich, which was absolutely delicious. However, the service did not meet the standard we expect from a 5-star hotel. We have been to afternoon teas at other hotels (e.g. Ritz, Claridge’s and Café Royal), but unfortunately, this experience was disappointing. At one point, the waiting staff came to our table without asking if we needed a top-up and accidentally mixed different flavoured teas in our cups. We were too shocked to say anything at the time. We had to request items several times (e.g. milk, which should have been provided without requesting, or hot water to top up the teapot), and it consistently took 5 to 10 minutes for them to arrive. These delays left us feeling like we were waiting far too long for basic service. At the end, we also waited 10 minutes just to pay. Another issue was the seating arrangement. There was a table positioned so close to ours that my mother struggled to pass it when leaving. This setup did not reflect the spacious arrangement we would expect in a 5-star restaurant. While we enjoyed the food and appreciated the ambience of the room, the overall experience fell short of our expectations. Unfortunately, we are unlikely to return.

Whilst we reasonably enjoyed our Afternoon Tea at The Savoy there were a few things that disappointed us. I had to ask for milk for our tea when it had run out which shouldn't really have happened, you would expect a much better service. The scones were very dry and disappointing. The rest of the food was lovely. However the biggest letdown was when we were given the bill without asking for it and being fully charged after we had already paid with a gift voucher. I queried this with our server who then went to investigate. Another server then came over asking us for various codes which we had to search through our phones for which was quite embarrassing. About 5-10 minutes later we were informed everything had been dealt with. We were also seated on a table that was right in a corner and i just felt we were put out of the way, I didn't complain about this as it wasn't until we had been there a little while that i realized . We had so been looking forward to this and just felt a little let down. For what it cost i expected better.

Incredible experience. Only complaint. Our table was right next to the singer where we couldn't hear each other too much but otherwise service was outstanding. Food amazing 👏

This was our first time having afternoon tea and it was an absolutely delightful experience! The Gallery was beautiful with a wonderful atmosphere that was energetic but sophisticated. We were slightly intimidated about not being fully aware of the etiquette of afternoon tea but we were made to feel very comfortable with the wait staff. The piano and singer were a lovely touch as well! The tea and food were scrumptious and presented so beautifully! We will absolutely return upon our next trip to London.
