   Finding a place that takes reservations in Grand Rapids for Sunday brunch is quite a challenge. Not wanting to wait in line for an hour at most of the better spots, we have pretty much quit going to brunch. Scholar has changed that! What a find! Varied menu, good service, good bar and atmosphere. My breakfast sandwich is among the best I have had, and my picky hubby was very satisfied with his benedict. The Great American Breakfast a friend ordered was huge! And tasty. This has definitely become our go to for Sunday brunch.

   My wife and I had brunch at Scholar for our Anniversary on Sunday. Everything about the experience was amazing. Each member of the staff congratulated us on our anniversary and we were given a beautiful table upstairs next to a big window which was fantastic given the sun was out. Our server was terrific and the food was very good. Thank you for adding to our special day and we will be back!

   The food was fabulous and our server, Seth, was outstanding! He was very well informed about the menu and drink options, and was very engaging and delightful to talk with.

    First visit to scholar before the symphony. We sat in the study and had a nice cozy corner. The ambiance was perfect; dark, moody and the music selection and volume was just right. Our server Carlos was amazing and had some good recommendations for drinks and dessert. We ordered the lamb and scallops and both dishes were delicious and perfectly cooked. I cannot wait to visit again to see another part of the building and try more of the menus.
