This is one of my favorite places to eat when I come to the beach. I’ve noticed over the past couple months that their service has gotten slower and slower. Last night we ate there and the place was about half full, but it took 40 minutes between our appetizer and our entrée. I went to the restroom and overheard the cooks arguing because they had too many people to serve at once. It took 20 minutes to get our cocktails. The food is outstanding most of the time even though it’s overpriced. Last night we had a couple steaks and ordered them medium rare and they came out Almost well done. I had the grouper and it was outstanding as usual. I think they need to figure out their service process to continue to keep me as a customer.

Dear Steve, It was a very busy evening at that particular hour in the kitchen on a holiday weekend. Your party arrived early at 6:30 for a 7 pm reservation and seated ahead of schedule. Upon investigation of your past 4 dining experience your check was cashed out within our 2-hour dining experience or less. 6/29 7:00 reservation, cashed out @ 8:30, 7/19 reservation 6:00, cashed out @ 7:48, 8/16 6:15 reservation, cashed out at 8:08, 11/27 Last night you were seated early during the kitchen rush. 6:36 Seated, cashed out @ 8:17. This is a fine dining restaurant that makes and cooks everything to order from scratch. This is a laid-back beach town with mostly retirees as citizens and guests that enjoy a more leisurely dining experience. In addition, the steaks were not well done. Cheers!

From the start the hostess seated us in a booth as requested and the staff were quick to greet us with a smile and menus. The room was a little cold with air conditioning but not so cold that we needed to move. Jason was very polite and knowledgeable about the menu. Drinks were not as good as expected, with crushed ice in the old fashion and maraschino cherries. We both ordered off menu specials , the sea bass was under cooked and the bone in fillet mignon was good but smaller than expected.

I’ve ate at many “fine dining” restaurants. Without a doubt, SEA BLUE is truly one of the best restaurants that focuses on great service and the highest quality of food prepared to perfection!
