Was looking forward to this dinner with my husband. We were seated relatively quickly with our reservation but had no service at our table for about 30 minutes until we had to ask the hostess for water. When they realized we weren’t served yet they came and apologized. We placed our order for a bottle of wine and two appetizers. The appetizers came out pretty fast. Had to get up and ask the hostess again for our wine. Waited for about ten minutes and then had to call her over again because they forgot to get it. At this point she went and got it herself. After finishing our wine we decided that we weren’t going to order dinner and go somewhere else. Asked for the check and one of the waiters apologized for the bad service and attention, told us our entrees were on their way out (which we never ordered) then offered to comp a dessert but at this point we just wanted to leave. Waited another 15 minutes but still no check. It wasn’t until we got up to leave they ran over to check us out. Unfortunately it was probably understaffing but the lack of attention to our table for the small things we were requesting was disappointing. The space is small and intimate so we saw the staff hanging at the bar, eating and talking the whole time we were waiting for service. The couple waiters they had seemed to be paying attention to the larger parties of tables all around us and either forgot or simply didn’t care about us. The hostess was apologetic and honestly, pulling the weight of everyone else. All around , for a Saturday night restaurant in Wall Street and for the price I expected a way better experience.

Tuna tartare crackers were stale, carbonara sauce was broken and curdled, penne dish was cold when it was brought out and took so long to come out

Seated at a cramped table despite having a reservation and open tables by the window, "homemade" pasta was just bagged DeCecco stacked high in the kitchen, main plates (I got the spaghetti) was served while I was in the bathroom (amateur move). The pizza (which my son got) looked good! Would not recommend.

Italian food is about simplicity and freshness yet there is a certain care and love that needs to go into the process. Perhaps when this was not a “mini chain” things were more cared for and regulated. First, as many have noted, the service was to be desired. The restaurant was rather full and the staff consisted of a hostess, a bartender/waiter and one waitress who were tasked to tend to all the tables. Our order was taken and eventually, after a significant wait, our food was served. That was the extent that anyone checked up on us. It was a fairly pricey establishment and one would expect a little more focus service wise. I had to go out of my way to flag down the bartender/ waiter just to get a check. Ok food. There were seven of us so there plenty of opportunities to show their craft. Sadly everything fell significantly short. The bruschetta was on toast points with just diced tomatoes and basil. Taste was ok but nothing flavorful enough for me to notice. Was hopeful for things to come. The Caesar salads were lacking flavor and were dry and under dressed. Croutons lacked any flavor as well 3/10. The burger was somewhat cold and dried out. A reheat perhaps but over cooked, dry and a little cold. The Raviolis were soggy and completely drenched in butter and lacked much flavor. The red sauce dishes were acceptable but the sauce had no body. Not much better than a Raos or other higher end jarred sauce. Meatballs were not tough but not tender either and had a canned spaghetti and meatballs aftertaste thing going on. Off putting enough that I did not want to continue eating them. Eggplant parm was soggy, chewy and lacking any crisp at all. A blanket of cheese over the whole thing did not improve things. Edible but not enjoyable. Overall, portions were quite small. Left feeling a little hungry after dropping close to 300 on the meal. No care was put into this food. Just churned out with little to no care. One can tell there are some good ingredients there but…

The ravioli is made in house. Savory sauces. The tomatoes on the bruschetta could be better. The green salad was good, perhaps a bit of garlic would be nice. They had desserts made in house as well. Near the NY Stock Exchange and Wall Street. Friendly server.

I realize it was Valentine’s Day so it was extraordinarily busy. The food was exceptional. There were a few key staff members really making a tremendous effort to keep things moving. However, they were going it alone. My waitress walked out in her coat in the middle of my service. I had at least five different staffers during my visit. The manager (I’m assuming ) was gracious and apologetic. The price was reasonable and the food was great. Staff can make or break a business. The food and atmosphere are worth the wait but I hope they can get better support staff. Managment and kitchen can’t do it alone.
