Established in 1982, Shaherzad is Los Angeles' premier dining destination for sumptuous and authentic Persian cuisine served in its newly renovated and welcoming restaurant.

For starters, rack of lamb and kashk bademjan (Persian eggplant dip) served with fresh house made bread straight out of the tanoor oven are great options. Some of Shaherzad's house specialties include grilled on skewers white fish, boneless chicken kebab, beef barg and lamb shish kebab served with your choice of rice specialties. The Persian tea perfectly complement a homemade dessert at Shaherzad, such as bamieh, a Persian donut infused with saffron and rose water.

Good Persian food done well. Prompt and attentive staff. Only negative was that it was a bit chilly.

Parking can be difficult but the food is completely worth it! Great service and absolutely the best Persian food on Westwood Blvd.

Five of us went to dinner here. Everything was great. The only reason I didn’t give it an outstanding is because the hummus is not very good. It’s bland, clumpy, and just not good. Even the supermarket are better and those are just ok. The pita that’s served though is better than ones I have had at other Persian restaurants. It comes warm and isn’t dry like some others.

They are still as good as the competition, but under new ownership the portions have been somewhat downsized, the prices somewhat elevated, and the the quality of the bread (formerly baked in a Tandoori oven) decidedly lowered
