Experience the best of Shimogamo with our Omakase menu, which means “leave it up to you”. Our expert staff will curate a menu, tailored to your preferences and dietary restrictions. Please note that this is not a customly created chef's tasting course, but rather a compilation of our existing menu and specials of the day. Designed for sharing, this menu is perfect for groups of two or more and requires a minimum of two guests. To ensure availability, reservations are required. The Omakase menu is priced per person and excludes tax and gratuity. Beverages are not included in the course but can be added at an additional cost. We love to sit at the counter. Hirame, Chili Lime Hamachi, and Waygu skewers are stand-outs. Have loved Shimo since the very beginning.

Spicy beef miso udon, shimogamo roll, and kyoto pear cocktail. The udon is always exemplary as i get it almost as often as i go here. Had the shimogamo roll on a whim not knowing what was in it. I dont care for shrimp at all but this roll was tasty! And finally, the kyoto pear cocktail was a perfect blend with the right amount of sweetness. Recommend all 3.

Great sushi restaurant. The sushi rolls offer unique flavors and combinations. The nigiri was excellent! The have a lot of high end options as well. Really enjoyed discovering their menu.

Every time we go to Shimogamo, it’s outstanding. There’s NO other restaurant in AZ that matches the quality of service, food and experience. It’s the only restaurant I’ve visited since moving here from NYC that even comes close to the dining experiences in large, international cities. Just love love love it.

We did their New Year's Eve special menu and added a Japanese whiskey flight. This was the first time we've done one of their special dinners and it was great to taste some different items; we generally do sushi and other small dishes rather than dinners when we go. Everything was terrific. It was full but didn't feel crowded or noisy. Very good service; we never felt rushed, though we were in one of the early seatings. All courses were terrific with the Wagyu beef as the highlight.
