First: on Friday and Saturday nights a wonderful pianist plays, John Kite--and you are welcome to sing with him (he can apparently plan absolutely any request). This is wonderful. But the food at this old Denver classic: nearly inedible, and expensive to boot. Eat somewhere else and then go after 8:30 to hear John Kite, and you'll have a great time. If it were just John Kite, it would be five-star, but the food and expense brings it down to one or two stars at most.

The food has definitely sub par and overpriced. Were there at opening and took forever for food to arrive. It arrived cold. Server never came back and offered more drinks. This lunch was always a yearly team lunch and always used to be lovely place with extraordinary food. Will not be returning. Very sad.

Food was good, a bit noisy. Cold sitting next to window/exterior wall on a very chilly night.

Flew in for a surgical meeting and brought family (spouse and toddler). Made last minute reservations. Excellent service and food. Some negative reviews had me concerned, but they were all wrong. In addition to having a great experience for us, the service was exceptional service for my son also who had about decided with the hour changes and jet lag that he was done for the evening. Also, very good bourbon selection for this former Kentuckian.

The Brown Palace and its restaurants continue their downward spiral. It is so sad to see this once Grand Dame of Denver fall on such hard times. The bakery no longer makes rolls?? Also, the au jus for the prime rib tasted as if someone had dropped a cigarette into it. Truly awful. The service was acceptable and the waitress tried to make do with the deficiencies of the kitchen. I keep going back hoping things will change but it’s only getting worse. I wish ownership was proud of this hotel and ran it better.

Like other reviews, service was bad. Our waitstaff left and the bartender whom was helping others forgot a drink and the room was not busy. Food ok.

20 years ago this place was a gem. It needs an overhaul and needs some TLC. The staff however is amazing.
