I hosted a referral partner for lunch and we both enjoyed delicious food and attentive service! I tried the Mexican lasagne and it was divine. Not spicy but interesting flavors and tender shredded chicken. My colleague ordered the tortellini prosciutto and it was wonderful! I’ll get this next time. Looking forward to the Wine Whispers series at this restaurant soon.

I really did have high hopes Chuy’s, but unfortunately the overall experience was a let down. The building itself and the decore can work, however the lighting in the place is cool and blue lights. The place is too bright because of them and has an almost fancy looking diner vibe. I believe the experience would be better if the lighting was warmer. The service wasn’t bad at all, our server was very nice and attentive, and never forgot anything. Our water was always filled and food came out at a decent time as you would expect for dinner during peak times on a Friday. However, I came for the food and that is what I am basing this review on. The calamari was ok, I would have liked it to be more crisp, but it was good nonetheless. The rigatoni poblano with shrimp was good. However the Mexican Lasagna was a let down. It wasn’t seasoned at all and the chicken inside tastes like it was from a can. (The layers were corn tortillas FYI). I had to salt it and ask for spicy marinara, which did make the dish somewhat better. I did have the hibiscus mezcalita and I was expecting cinnamon like the description said, but I couldn’t. It would have made the drink a bit better. If you’ve never had mezcal, it’s very smokey , so be prepared. I’ll try another flavor on my next trip. I will give this place another go and try the pork, which I’ve heard was good. This place might be better suited for a nice lunch one day. 2/5 for my first visit. Maybe the next one will be better.

This was a date night for my wife and me. Including the tip, we spent $100—with just water, no drinks. The salads and bread were average. The Caesar salad was a bit on the bland side, and the house salad came with the house dressing, which had a slight olive flavor. The bread was focaccia with an herb and garlic spread. It was very dense, and the spread was also somewhat bland. We had a mushroom and crab meat appetizer, which was very good. It featured one large portobello topped with crab meat and cheese. The sauce was excellent and included grilled peppers. My wife ordered the crab cakes, which were generously portioned. However, the center was cold, so the waiter had them remade for her—very good service. I had the octopus and shrimp, which was really good. The shrimp were huge, and the rice and vegetables were great. No dessert, no drinks—just water. Overall, we were very pleased with the food. Typically, we wouldn’t have ordered salads, but we decided to this time. Food-wise, we would definitely return. Price-wise, it felt a bit on the expensive side, which would be our one hesitation. Be sure to ask about the price of the specials.

First time at Show Me Chuy. The staff was super friendly, and the food was outstanding. My wife had the salmon, and I had the lobster ravioli.

Food was good. It’s an expensive place. $24 for an entree only, salads were extra. So don’t go thinking your entree comes with anything. Portion sizes were good. I got the chicken Marsala. It was really good and flavorful. You have to make reservations.

Food was slightly bland, had the chicken Marsala and veggie linguine. Large portions were filling, but disappointing in flavor. Restaurant was clean, friendly staff, did not wait long for service or food to arrive to table.
