I have nothing but the BEST reviews for this restaurant. Everything from the decorum to the quality of food, cocktails and service was outstanding. This is my new favourite place! I was so pleasantly surprised and elated about my experience there. I highly recommend this place!

The decor was beautiful you can tell there was thought put in to set up. Unfortunately the food does not match the decor. The portions were tiny, not even enough to fill up a small eater and everything is very expensive. Service was very slow, the food took an extremely long time to come out.

Simply not worth it for the money. Interesting fun decor, great cocktail menu, excellent food but horrible service. Difficult to get anyone to come to the table to take our orders and the main course took well over an hour to arrive after ordering despite there being only three tables with customers and two wait staff. We had 6:00 reservations and almost missed our 8:00 show at the Firehall Theatre a couple blocks away. Really disappointing dining experience. It felt like we were imposing on them by being there. Too bad as the food was great, but I won’t be back.

We had dinner at The Dilk Lounge. It exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious and the ambience was amazing. It is absolutely a beautiful venue. A lot of detail and thought went into designing this restaurant. It’s a definite must if you like Indian food.

Celebration of birthday. The Resturant is new so was empty the host/server was really nice but they need to work on their hospitality and also food flavors. The decor was really nice and they will do well if some proper planning is in placed. I was there for my birthday celebration and since I wanted to try something new so I did but was okay not the best. I must say they have really done well with the decor.

Curry was way too light and fusion food like steaks were way overcooked even when it was already sent back once. Cooking speed was extremely slow. We waited for an hour for our food while there was just 2 other parties at the restaurant. Given its speed and quality, the food was overpriced.

We reserved to celebrate a milestone birthday and requested that we be informed which menu items were appropriate for a gluten free diet. Neither the occasion nor the special diet were acknowledged and we had to prompt for information. We enjoyed the beautiful new decor of the space, but were disappointed in the quality of food, absence of wine list and lacklustre service. One server was on the floor, and she spent most of the time hovering near the kitchen with her back to the restaurant. After we ordered one round of cocktails, we ordered the meal. It took approximately an hour and a half to receive the food, during which time we were twice assured (when we got up and went to the back to ask after our order) that the food would be ready "in ten minutes". The server did not check in on us, ask if we would like another round of drinks, or offer an appetizer to tide us over. When the food finally did arrive it was flavourless and flat, with no depth or interest of spicing. The spinach paneer and butter chicken had a few lonely pieces of proteins, lost in bland sauce. At the end of the night we appreciated that the house offered us a 20% discount, but the event was marred. We recommend that the restaurant invest in additional staff training, both front and back of house.

We enjoyed our dinner in this new wonderful out-of-the-ordinary gastown Indian/French restaurant. Food is delicious with the right am't of very fresh herbs and presented with flair!! Service is impeccable matching the elegant & trendy-colored surroundings & prices are so reasonable with big servings. This is the best Indian food I've tasted in Vancouver!! Highly recommend to all foodies!

Had a great meal in a wonderful atmosphere. What more can I ask for! I had an Indian dish with lady fingers. Definitely my favorite dish there. Everything is organic and tastes fresh. Worth a visit!

Silk Dinner Lounge is a beautiful place. The service wasn't quite there yet - several times they took away drinks that weren't quite finished, and they also don't have a wine list and had only one bottle of red wine. It was fairly empty other than our party of 8. The food was good but not spectacular. They did let us bring in our own cake to celebrate a birthday, which we really appreciated. Also appreciated that we could make a reservation since most places don't allow that. I think they just need a bit more time to work on the smooth service aspect, but it was a nice place to hang out for an evening.
