   A fantastic experience all round, from food to the service and to the settings and vibes. We were a little late but rang ahead to advise and they were perfectly accommodating and understanding with no issues. From the very first seconds of being there, it felt like there was nothing that couldn’t be done for us and it stayed like that for the entire evening, despite having to service a huge table of around 20 and the bar as well. We’ve recently just moved to Cardiff and have struggled to find a standout roast but we will now be having a fixed abode here, the food really is that good. And at fantastic value too with 2 courses for £30! We even asked for extra roast potatoes as we were a party of 5 (including toddler) and we were supplied another small bowl without extra charge. I could go on and on but honestly we couldn’t fault anything with Silures and we will definitely be returning, excited to experience it all again.

   10/10 - outstanding food !! The service was exceptional and the food was delicious.. we are still dreaming over the mac & cheese now! Perfect for date night - our booking was at 20:45, it was still busy but the ambiance was ideal. Our waiter was friendly and didn’t keep us waiting at all - front of house staff was a wonderful gentleman who ensured our uber was outside waiting for us before we left and made sure we were happy with our experience! Couldn’t recommend enough and can’t wait to go back to try some other dishes on the menu - diolch

   It’s a nice dining space with a nice ambience. The timings were off throughout unfortunately - it took extremely long to take the orders, and long between courses. Service was fine, but a little brusk. Starters were very good. Mains were good, but not excellent. I don’t usually order steak at restaurants, but nothing else on the menu really stood out. Fillet steak itself was cooked very well, but the confit onion on the plate was very poor. It was served al dente giving a raw onion taste and texture. All in all, we had a nice evening, but unfortunately I can’t see us returning.

   Fabulous find, local setting for us, food and service was superb, it feels like a high end establishment as soon as you walk in with greeting from Andrew who is the most dapper of gentleman… …the tuna was soft and delicate, the linguine packed with mouth watering tastes and textures with the most generous portion of crab and cray fish, the wild mushroom, with truffle risotto was exquisitely cooked quite perfect. Cannot wait to try their second restaurant a much needed high end Italian in Cardiff town centre ‘Terre Mare’

   This place has a lovely atmosphere, but the service for our Sunday lunch was very slow. We have visited Silures many times for drinks and love the style and welcoming feel of the place. We booked Sunday lunch for 3pm and we were seated fairly quickly. We ordered wine, starters and main courses and waited. Our wine came after about ten minutes, but it was at least 45 minutes before we got our starters and more than an hour and a half after ordering before we got our main courses. By this time we were ravenous and had finished our wine. When the food came it was a pleasant Sunday lunch, the Yorkshire pudding was fantastic and the cauliflower cheese was good but the roast potatoes were overlarge and undercooked, the beef was nice and pink, but a bit chewy in parts. We had dessert of rice pudding with fruit puree and honeycomb which was delicious. I hope we will give Silures another try for Sunday lunch in the future, but I would be nervous about the wait time.

   All 4 of us in the group thought the food was stunning: From out Tuna Tartare starters to Halibut, Fillet Steak and Game Pie main courses. The wines are nice (but not cheapest) . Overall, an excellent dining experience and one we will return to without any doubt.

   Always a great welcome when you arrive All staff are friendly smiling and happy to see you Drinks and food service is very professional and you are made to feel that you are getting value The food is the highlight flavours and presentation the chef needs to go master chef and he would win by a mile Never had a bad meal drink or experience here The place the staff the food are a 10 out 10 A must if you have never been even pop in for a drink you will be very welcomed A very satisfied customer

   What a super edition to the current Roath eateries. Welcome and service were exceptional, food divine and refreshingly the wine by the glass/carafe had some super choices on offer. Will definitely be coming back soon both to eat and just sit in the lovely bar area and have a drink.

    Booked this off the back of a great 18th birthday family meal for my son. Friends very impressed by the venue, staff and food. Relaxed and unhurried Sunday lunch with excellent wine recommendation. Enjoyed so much will be back for my birthday after Christmas.
