Skinner's Loft is a local spot with a cosmopolitan outlook, featuring fresh ingredients, eclectic dishes, craft beers and a variety of boutique wines and spirits.

Service was lovely, atmosphere was perfect. Food was excellent! Would suggest a few more vegetarian options but the vegan scallops were a dream as well as the veg appetizers.

We were 7 that turned into 10 on a Saturday night, and they didn’t skip a beat. The staff was excellent the food was fabulous. Thank you for making a birthday dinner so special!

Was able to sit on the rooftop, which I would highly recommend. The food was delicious and the service was very good. They did not rush my table at all; we sat for about 2 hours. Would recommend to people looking for a more upscale dinner without an extremely big bill.

Great place in the heart of the pedestrian walking mall on Newark Street in downtown happening Jersey City. The Organic Salmon dish is excellent and the burgers are noteworthy as well. The salads are very fresh and try to incorporate some seasonal ingredients. We like to sit at the rooftop outdoor deck seating in the summer. The service is attentive and the food arrives in timely fashion. Nice mix of people and lively ambience. I find the beer menu too obscure and fancy, particularly if you are not fond of IPAs; but the addition of a couple European pilsners would easily remedy this minor issue. I can highly recommend this restaurant as a good choice to bring a date, family, or a few friends. It's hip and the food in very good.
