Busy bar/restaurant in the heart of historic York which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Minutes from York’s wide collection of shops, varying from independent unique boutiques, to well known brands. Fantastic variety of continental beers, extensive quality wines and champagne. Great range of cocktails as well as local cask ales available. Few minutes walk from the famous shambles area. Situated on Low Ousegate overlooking the River Ouse.

The service was great. A lovely warm welcome. We took a seat and A team member, Natalie served us. She was so happy and funny . Both food and the drinks where great and finally somewhere with some standards. Great music to sing along to. I would definitely recommend!

No obvious place to book in on arrival as we had booked a table in advance. Music was deafening. Only two waiters working - one said they were short-staffed due to sickness absence. No service, waited a long time then ordered through the app. Waiter then confirmed would be quicker than ordering with him. Cocktails tasteless - spent £20 on cocktails and extra on beer. Cocktails all ice. Poor value Food portions small Poor experience. Worst experience we have had and have been to many S&L restaurants throughout the country. Will not go again.
