   It was a great experience with food and wine, for our taste it was a little bit salty but it doesn’t bother at all.

   Smith and Wollensky is one of the great heritage steak houses in New York. A staple of good food, old world charm, it hasn't lost a step over the years. Packed on a Sunday night the service was outstanding. Special recognition to our waiter, Ivan, who could not have been more solicitous and accommodating without being pushy and never rushed us. There are a lot of steak houses in NYC to choose from but this is one makes my personal favorites list.

   We went for the Saturday night wine dinner. While it was a good value, we didn’t love it. The included martini was horrible, but the Prosecco and wines, while not anything special were fine. The food selection was good, 3 had steaks and I had the just ok Dover sole ( nicely deboned at the table). Multiple sauce options for steak but no béarnaise. Servers were super busy but nice and efficient. The bigger problem was the unbearable noise level, made worse by the close tables and guests taking great advantage of the free wine. Drunk and loud crowd. Ugh.

   Ever since seeing American Psycho I had always wanted to come here. Well my amazing girlfriend got a new role and we decided to celebrate. Needless to say this may have been one of the best steaks, oysters and glasses of Riesling we have ever had. Will we be back again? Uhm yeah!

    Zev in the Bar area/ with hgh tables took absolutely great care of us . ( not sure if name is correct, he is tall slim wears glasses/ from albania.). The food of course was fabulous as always. Thank you thank you!. -Linda Lynn
