   I made an Open Table reservation for 4 at 6pm to celebrate my son’s 21st birthday. When we arrived the hostess said that the reservation was for 2? Then I showed her my phone and suddenly she found the reservation for 4. Just as we were seated a band started playing. The music was so loud that no one could talk to each other. Clearly the staff could not hear the customers. My son ordered the Ribeye done medium and French fries. He got a bloody rare steak and potato wedges. His girlfriend ordered the filet mignon medium with French fries and got a rare steak and potato wedges. I ordered a filet mignon medium with mashed potatoes, my steak was well done. My wife ordered the filet mignon medium rare and it was medium well. Wanted Tito’s but you were out and the Dirty Martini did not have Blue Cheese Olives. We contemplated leaving after our drink and should have instead of placing a food order. You can see we were in your restaurant less than an hour. Worst experience. Very disappointing. I understand you booked a band and it was raining but you should either cancel them or have them turn the volume down. We would have addressed the meal errors if we thought the waitress could hear us or we weren’t being blasted by loud music and shouting to talk to each other. As we were leaving the band members had just taken a break and were in front of the restaurant with associates of theirs smoking marijuana. I know it’s legal but we should not have to smell it exiting your establishment. Do better please.

   We had a 6:45 reservation. At 8:20 we still did not have food. We were seated outside by choice but it had started raining quite hard ( no one’s fault!) A manager stopped &told us there was indoor seating upstairs at the bar & if we moved inside they’d find us when food was ready. She apologized for delay and said she’d do something for us for the extreme wait for our food. Ended up in corner of bar counter because all the tables were full. Food arrived around 8:25. We never saw our waitress again after we moved inside. Food was fine . Wait for food was ridiculous. Our bills came - no discount or comp or anything despite being told there would be. We paid our bills & left. Very disappointing experience. I’ve eaten here before… but if I eat here again, it will be a long time.

   We sat outside . 10-15 minutes to get acknowledgment after we sat down . She brought waters and left. Didn’t come back to take drink order for another good 10 minutes or more . We put in appetizer at that time . Appetizer came quickly …our drinks not so much . Waited for drinks for at least 20 minutes after ordering them and that was because I went to the bar to ask about them . Saw my drink sitting there and my husbands , she informed me they did not have Jameson . Anyway… food was good but they need more servers outside . She had quite a few tables . We won’t go back on a Friday night .

   Mother's Day brunch was a disappointment. We came later in the day, and the meat was dry and chewy. The ribs were not tender, and the chicken looked and tasted anemic. The mac and cheese was congealed. Only the corn and mashed potatoes were worth eating. The service was good. I won't be visiting again.

   What a wonderful Mother's Day treat! Restaurant is beautiful with a fabulous view of the lake. Food was delicious! Service was perfect! Can't wait to go back.

   Overall we had a okay experience.We went on Mother’s Day 2025. They had a special with a preselected menu. We did not know this. The website did not say anything about it. However this is common on the busiest restaurant day of the year. We would not have made the trip if we would have known this. They served a rib, chicken and beef shared family plate along with corn, macaroni and cheese, and mashed potatoes. Also soup, salad and rolls. Also small pieces of cake for dessert. In spite of not being able to choose for ourselves the food was fine. The price was $40 a plate which compared to taking my family out in Grand Rapids is much much higher than normal. Especially when you compare the food. I think we had an out of the ordinary experience for this restaurant so I withhold any specific judgement. I would encourage people to give it a try if you are near it.

   The food and drinks were excellent but the waitress was distracted by large number of customers. Took along time to get our bill and quite awhile to get our card’s back. Waitress was very nice and respectful
