   We had the preset wine pairing entree. Unfortunately, the fish and octopus were overcooked. The wine pairing and food were brought out too soon or too late. The staff is lovely, but I wouldn’t necessarily go back.

   Very disappointing!! After reading all the hype (written by sodafish) we wanted to eat there and experience all that was promised; boy! Were we disappointed. The prices were excessive for what was served. For example: the freshest seafood was promised at this seafood restaurant on the water. I was excited to order the John Dory, a beautiful fish. Instead of a whole dory beautifully cooked with a side of pea risotto, I received a greyish fillet, curled up, weighing about 100grams sitting upon a pool of mushy risotto which tasted more like mash potato. It was room temperature and had no flavour ( of perhaps burnt butter); it was terrible. The hand cut potato chips looked like reheated potato skins, which we sent straight back to the kitchen as they were cold, only to be replaced with slightly warmer skins. Truly horrible chips, the worst we have seen in 50 years. The food was supposed to be simple honest local. Every dish was either over seasoned or not seasoned. The venison was cold. The octopus was cold and chewy. The home made fish fingers were just mashed potato with a whiff of fish...steep for a $31 entrees. The steak was great, well cooked and warm. The serving staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. This place is let down by not delivering what is promised and charging Melbourne prices for it. Spoke to a few locals afterwards, they don't go there either, for the same reasons. Never again.

   Very lovely friendly service , brilliant food and wine that compliments the menu , I would highly recommend any of my friends and family to your restaurant, My son very words “exquisite”. five stars on the delicious food and beautifully lit room , a credit to your wonderful restaurant .    Servers constantly forgot about us and made us wait 20-30 minutes per dish in the set menu. Their slow service meant that our dinner was 3 hours long, ruining our night. A server had the audacity to ask us what our plans were for the rest of the night knowing full well that they kept us an hour after the entire town closed for the night (including the restaurant itself!). I will not be coming back and I cannot recommend this restaurant.

   My partner and I ate there last Friday we both enjoyed our meals however she became very ill that night and Saturday/sunday Very disappointed

   Excellent food in a lovely restaurant. Location is excellent with views of harbour/ lagoon Good quality wine too. Really enjoyed the meal. Disappointing that the waitress did not have much of a clue about the menu.

   Superbly presented and interesting seafood on the set menu and excellent wine list including some great local drops. Service was enthusiastic, cheerful and efficient. A wonderful setting on the waterfront overlooking some of the fishing fleet and also a perfect place to enjoy the sunset. Considering the high standard of the food, it was great value for money.

   We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Sodafish. Everything from the friendly greeting upon arrival, the delicious cocktails and wines, incredibly tantalising food sourced locally resulted in a memorable dining experience. We would recommend Sodafish to all who appreciate amazing, fresh and innovative food.

    Sehr gutes Essen - nicht die normalen 08/15 Gerichte, die man sonst meistens in Australien erhält. Das Dessert Affogato, war sensationell.
