   I recommend South Branch to a friend for its close proximity to transit in downtown Chicago. I've been there several times before, but not in recent years. The food came out super quick. Even the waitress was surprised. I was disappointed the food wasn't very flavorful & tacos came with flour tortillas instead of corn. The cocktails were watered down. Service was excellent & ambiance is great... Best when you can sit outdoors on the Chicago River. Overall, you can't beat the location. I'm just disappointed that the food/drinks were not better for the price paid in downtown Chicago.

   This is really a place to grab a burger and a beer. My tuna tacos were tasteless and my husbands chicken was passable. Nothing unusual or super tasty here. Service was prompt but with an eye towards turning tables quickly so we felt rushed. While the room is nice overlooking the Chicago River the atmosphere is that of a pub. Loud and raucous. Pricing was on the high side for the fare and drinks IMO

   I ordered the NOLA salad and it was great as always. The blackened salmon was cooked real good and the devil eggs are a great addition. My guest ordered the chopped salad and enjoyed it. I will definitely be back again.

   Nice place to grab a drink after work with friends. You can expect a white collar crowd, slightly expensive drinks, and delicious buffalo chicken egg rolls.

   This experience was awesome. The customer service was great. My waitress, her name was Amberly, and she was very attentive and kind, her customer service skills are impeccable and made the experience even more pleasant. I can't wait to come back.

    This restaurant was recommended for Pre-Theater dinner. Our server was wonderful and the food was great and out in time for us to get to the pre-lecture at the Joffrey. BUT THE NOISE level was nerve racking. We couldn't hear each other and so discussion was impossible without repeating your self continually. This will be on our list to NOT eat at if you are having a date night of dinner and ballet/opera. Sorry if I work at CME I would have probably loved all the chatter.
