   Our server seemed to be deeply unhappy to be there. Not welcoming and appeared annoyed to be doing his job. I get it—work can suck. And it’s not as enjoyable a meal with a stoic to grumpy waiter.

   The hostess tried three times to seat us at noisy tables in busy areas after we requested a quiet table in our reservation. There were quieter tables, but the hostess said they were reserved. We didn’t even ask. The restaurant was extremely noisy and much of that was due to loud employee conversation. The food and waiter were very good, house pour wine below average. This place is clicky, one has to be known to get a good table and, even then, the employees ruin everyone’s meal with loud, personal conversation.

   Wonderful late lunch experience with our out of town guests. Lunch menu is just as varied as dinner and provides a range of light lunch options including salads, sandwiches and, pizzas. Buttery Lemon cake was a great finishing to the afternoon.

   Greta food, good vibe & super accommodating! I had my baby and stroller with me and they were able to seat is out of the way and move a chair. We also accidentally order off the regular menu and not the brunch menu and they still went ahead and made our order. The food was AMAZING and the vibe was cozy.

   Overall, great service and food! This was our first time here and our party of 4 all enjoyed the apps, entrees and dessert. There’s also a full bar with a nice cocktail and wine list and parking was surprisingly easy on a Saturday evening.

   We were told that everything on the menu was good, and everything we ordered pretty much was (shrimp Alfredo, chicken Caesar salad) with the exception of the sweetness on the pizza (my husband doesn’t eat many sweets) and the cheesecake being too cold to eat (hadn’t thawed completely) but was good the next day! Our waiter was very pleasant as well!

   Small local bar atmosphere. Old wooden decor layout. Street parking was not an issue on a Monday night.

   We always love the South Village Grill. However, it was good as always but we were limited to a 3 course brunch. Each course had only with 3 choices per course. I didn’t know it would be a fixed menu. I realize it was Easter Sunday, but was never informed about the special menu. I would have appreciated a heads up.
