Southern Kitchen, which is known as "The Mouth of the South" to the locals, serves up comfort food favorites. From collard greens to fried fish and chicken, the eatery provides a comfortable, relaxed spot for enjoying classic Southern food, beer, and wine for lunch, and dinner. Since opening in 2014, the restaurant has focused on providing good food paired with a classy experience and great customer service. Southern Kitchen features a variety of options for starting the meal, including fried oysters, fried okra, southern rolls, and salad. Enjoy sandwiches like the salmon cake and chicken club, or dive into some apple pecan salad, fried fish, big momma's chicken, and chicken livers and onions.     dining area well lit. lots of room and nicely decorated. chicken and waffles were delicious, and the pork chops were really great. anyone looking for a place to eat with family and friends and love eating great food SOUTHERN KITCHEN will not disappoint. I will return soon.

    The food was OK, but very expensive in comparison to other restaurants with similar menu items. The acoustics in the room makes the chatter amongst the guest very loud. Overall, it was just OK.

    My server, JD M is always excellent and has a pleasant personality. The food is always good and served hot! I appreciate that. I hope other black owned restaurants will invest in good property like Southern Kitchen has. We don’t have to have small, dinky eating places with hardly no parking and long wait times to be fed. Customers deserve better. Way to go Southern Kitchen, for setting the example. We will certainly support you. 😀
