Excellent food. I’ve been to Tokyo 36 times and Sozai is just like an izakaya there. Music though made no sense for the restaurant. No sense at all. Great lunch menu. The dishes are very, very good. Room for improvement: napkins of a useable size instead of smallness they have. And please play upscale music!!!

Came here for my birthday with my friends and it was so much fun! Ramen was amazing and delicious! The cheesecake was so so good. The drinks were really good. Inside is very clean and bright. Welcoming atmosphere and very cute inside. We accidentally staying a bit into there lunch break but they were super nice about it.

The atmosphere and service are great!! Food can be little more interesting? It is generic menu. Also need to describe correctly on the menu.

Nobu prices for third rate food. The miso blackncod was unlikely to be black cod. Full of bones and slathered with sticky sweet sauce. Not properly grilled. Sishito peppers were red hot, no sweetness to them. Several items ordered never appeared. Waiter was indifferent to our dining experience

This was a great find. It has not been open very long - but it was very good. The ambiance was just right. The size of the restaurant was perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was great. I spent a great amount of time in Japan for business and this brought me back to my days visiting the country. When I am back in NYC - I will be sure to return to Sozai.

Ordered drinks and several small bites from the happy hour menu & everything was tasty! Then shared a Mentaiko pasta as an entree, & that was delicious! The staff were all nice & explained the menu & drinks throughly. We will be back !!

Phah was a great service and the food was great! We had the chashu buns, tonkatsu ramen and hakkaido don. Everything was delicious and the sashimi was so fresh! We’ll definitely be coming back on our next trip to nyc
