   We had a wonderful experience at Spaghettini. The food and service and ambiance were all very good. We requested a cozy warm table away from the live music. We love music but also love being able to hear each other talk. They sat us right next to the kitchen, and kitchen door, which at first did not thrill me. But it happily was not an issue. Not bothersome at all. The door was silent. And no trays were being carried over our heads or anything like that. We could still hear the music but it wasn’t overwhelming, so we could converse comfortably. Brandon was our waiter and he was excellent. Helpful, friendly, funny, attentive. He really contributed to our good evening. The bread was fresh and delicious with good butter. Two different kinds. My gin and tonic ( Bombay Sapphire with a slice of lime) was perfect. I had the halibut with a horseradish topping. Served with sautéed spinach and sweet potatoes. Fish was very tender and tasty. Very subtle flavoring. Not overpowering at all. Spinach was yummy. I personally would prefer regular potatoes but the sweet potato was fine. I shared an appetizer of melon and prosciutto with my husband. Also tasty and a generous portion, so it was plenty for the two of us. My husband had the tagliatelle with funghi. Two different mushrooms. He enjoyed it very much. And our friends had the same pasta plus the short rib and ate every bite of their meal. They also split the house salad and were very pleased with it. We all chose the butter cake with ice cream for dessert, recommended by Brandon as yummy and easy to split 4 ways, which it was. Overall delicious meal, good portions and happy evening. We have been there many times in the past 25 years, because it is convenient if trying to meet friends or family approximately half way between parts of Orange County and Los Angeles. We have never been disappointed!

   Spaghettini is our favorite place to go not just for birthday celebrations but for a nice romantic dinner and to also listen to the music. The service is amazing.
