   This was our first time at Speers and it was a very enjoyable experience. To start, we were celebrating a birthday and there was a Happy Birthday card waiting for us on our table. It's a more warm, relaxing and casual atmosphere then other quality restaurants we've gone to while the quality of the food was top notch. The menu had nice selections and our meals were delicious. We had crab cakes which were some of the best we've ever eaten and we've had crab cakes at many high end Pittsburgh restaurants. My steak, a ribeye, was incredible. It was prepared just as I had ordered it and each bite was a joy. I was sad when I had to eat my last piece, LOL. Last, but certainly not least, the service was warm, friendly and personal. We will definitely be returning.

   The Japanese Wagyu was incredibly tender and flavorful, perfectly complemented by the rich, velvety Caymus wine. The bartender was wonderfully attentive, and the ambiance of the place made the experience even more enjoyable—a truly unforgettable pairing.

   A great evening. The food was excellent. Ambience very nice. They did a great job renovating this space. Emily the server was amazing. Highly recommend this steakhouse.

   After an hour and a half never got our food and paid are bill for drinks and left …. 20 minutes to get water, 35 to get a drink and place an order, when they weren’t busy

   Seeing that we love Breakneck and the Kaufmann Tavern (so much that we had our rehearsal dinner there) we had high hopes for Speers seeing the same owner is proprietor of all 3 properties. We were deeply disappointed in Speers. The food was nothing to write home about and served at a cold to medium temperature. No flavor or anything. We also had a reservation for 6:30pm and we didn’t leave the establishment until 8:30-8:45pm. The kitchen was very slow and no one had food except appetizers on their tables. For the low quality of the meal, lack of taste of the food and how long it took -$220+ for two of us after taxes and tip all said and done -we probably won’t be back. I hate saying it but the franchise steak houses are doing better. If this restaurant group wants to survive -it needs to be like Breakneck or Kaufmanns as the local tavern. Trying to be The Capital Grille isn’t working. The one thing that was bright was our servers were very professional-Liam the host was super kind and our waiter Andrew was very kind. I pray you folks can figure it out. I want you to be successful.

   First time there to celebrate our anniversary. Waitress was outstanding!!!! Food was delicious. Desserts were so good. Great experience.

   I don’t like to write unfavorable reviews but if this case it is appropriate.  The Caesar salad was advertised with white anchovies, but there were no anchovies on top.  There was nothing special about the mushroom and lobster risotto. It was not creamy it was not cheesy and it was dry.  My $58 filet mignon was not cooked as I ordered it, it was also a little tough and appeared to be an end cut.  I live locally so perhaps in six months or a year. I’ll try it again.

   Very cozy place but food was a disappointment..(so sorry,,,) Onion soup was very salty, steak dry and over done and wedge salad was not ur typical wedge.. Very pricey which we knew but did not measure up. The bread was amazing... The server was just not good. Very, very inattentive and not friendly at all.. Do not like to write a bad review.. Happy that they are there.. Hopefully, they will get better.. Just be prepared..

    We’ve dined there twice for special occasions. The food was delicious! We couldn’t have asked for better service and loved the ambiance. We’ll definitely be back!
