   Celebrated my wife's birthday at Spruce and loved the experience. We had smooth-aged wine from Italy, devoured delicious caviar, and loved our tasty three-course meal with some thoughtful desserts orchestrated by the staff. Some of our favorite entrées included courses of Halibut, Ribeye, and a unique dessert sampler. We left having a food coma and would happily do this all over again. Shoutout to the staff for the smooth service. I highly recommend Spruce!

   We had excellent service. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff truly made it very special for my friend. The food was excellent. There was hardly anyone when we went in at 5 but it got really busy about an hour or so later. The food was excellent. There was a separate vegetarian menu that I got for my vegetarian needs and all the food was delicious.

   Our dinner was shared by another couples/friends out of town for a special occasion. Three of us had not been to Spruce before, only myself. The service was exceptional and orchestrated beautifully. We had a lovely server who explained dishes as best as she could, yet there were some complications in understanding additional charges for some items ordered. Everyone loved their meals. They were prepared exquisitely and impeccably. Tables seem to be too close to each other for fine dining. It's clear how well the staff are trained to attend to many needs of their diners. Kudos in that regard.

   Extensive wine list, professional and knowledable staff, slightly slow pre fixed dinner, but not a bad pace for a big group. Fun “gifts” from the kitchen. Excellent meal!

   Through my years of looking for original dining, Spruce literally knocked it out of the park. Amazing proposal reflecting the heart and soul of the chef, superb flavors, unique presentation and true professional servers made this an experience worth repeating sooner than later. The size of the menu is the total opposite of the size of the overall experience, congratulations!

   My friend and I celebrated our birthdays with a luxurious lunch at spruce! They had birthday cards waiting for us at our table, which was a special touch. Our table server was amazing and never made us feel rushed as we chatted in between bites. We ran out of time for dessert so they brought us complimentary cookies to take home to celebrate! They reminded me why I love meals at spruce!! The attention to detail and going the extra mile to make sure we had a phenomenal experience. Thank you, Spruce! We’ll be back :)

   I’ve been here with my partner many times and the last few, especially last night, have made us wonder if Spruce is still as good as it used to be. For one, this is the second time we were seated 5 minutes or more past our reservation; we arrived 10 minutes early like responsible guests so being rewarded with 15 minutes of waiting was annoying. Our reservation was for 8pm and our first course did not arrive until 9pm, quite literally. Spruce continues to struggle with finding appropriate climate control, as we were either uncomfortably warm or had freezing air blowing directly at us. Other tables were served faster and with more attentiveness. Not sure what the problem is, but we don’t feel particularly compelled to come back at this point. No one even asked us if we were celebrating anything, which we were. Of note, Ireri our server was fine and we had a decent experience with her.

Our sincere apologies that we were not able to get your party seated promptly at the time of your reservation, in addition to the long wait time you experienced for your first course after being seated. We are also very sorry for the uncomfortable temperature fluctuations you experienced - certainly not the way anyone would want to spend what was supposed to be a comfortable night out. We are not quite sure how so many different things could go wrong in one night, but it appears that that is exactly what happened.    The service is friendly and impeccable. Most of the dishes were excellent, especially the white asparagus appetizer with morel mushrooms and the green garlic and pea soup. The duck was excellent, the halibut very good (but not anything unusual) and the Wagyu rib superb. Three out of four diners had the beignets for dessert. I had the chocate tartlette. All were excellent. This will sound like a silly nit, but the bread they served (a choice among three) was cold. Nothing more inviting than warm bread. Not cheap but worth the price.

    The atmosphere is warm, comfortable and elegant. The staff has extraordinary knowledge of the food and the sommelier was the perfect guide for wine pairings - incredibly knowledgeable, but not pretentious. This is a sophisticated winner that consistently delivers.
