Very good experience overall. The only problem was the loud music played by the DJ. For a 10:30 am Mother's Day brunch it was too much. At an event like that, families want to talk, not be bombarded by base notes. Our server asked the DJ to turn it down, and he did. But shortly afterwards he turned it up again. I don't think anyone asked him to. He just seemed to like to play it loud and thumpy.

Hadn't heard of St. Cruz but were looking for a restaurant close to the Fox Theater. It was a pleasant surprise. It's a bit noisy, and the menu is quite limited. However, both the halibut and scallops were excellent. They were well prepared and served warm and fresh. The flavor and accompaniments were very good, with one exception. The sides with the halibut were a bit too salty. However, the risotto with the scallops was perfect. The brownie dessert was also very good. Overall, a nice choice with convenient parking for a downtown dinner.

Took way too long to be served. We arrived in time for 5:15 reservation. Ordered meals by 5:30, one shared appetizer and entrees. Entrees were served at 6:30.

The food and service was outstanding. The scallops and salmon were both perfectly cooked, and the Spanish chorizo in the prosciutto and chorizo starter was authentic and delicious. The service could not have been better. The proximity of the dining tables to the bar area on a Friday evening with no divider did create a slight adverse effect on the noise level and ambience, but did provide some unexpected entertainment for someone who is a people-watcher….

Iwe added two to our party and I called repeatedly to try to reach the restaurant but no answer and could not do a party of 8 online. Finally I called the hotel and asked to be connected. I was told no problem we could have 8. When we arrived we were shown to a table for 6. Food was pretty good

Excellent tenderloin and scallops. Both cooked to perfection and seasoned well. Service was great. Will definitely dine here again.
