   The experience was excellent from start to finish. The exceptional service matched the outstanding food without being pretentious and at a very reasonable price for the quality.

   Food is generally good, especially the quail and clams. However the ambiance is terrible . We could not hear each other speak, the bass in the music was deafening. This definitely took away from the experience. Tone the music down! And it is way too expensive. Way over $100 per person with only one bottle of wine for 4 people. I'm afraid I will not return.

   Although we live in the Bay Area, we had never been to State Bird Provisions. The food was delicious…a few of our favs included; oysters, meatballs, trout dip with potato chips, egg custard w/mushrooms and chili flakes and the tuna toast. We also had a good bottle of sake. The noise level is not really conducive for two seniors with hearing impairment but it did add to the vibe with younger generations not deterred by it. It is a brilliant concept of a restaurant!

   The overall experience fell short of expectations. Service was inattentive, and the warmth and hospitality one might anticipate were noticeably lacking. The dim sum–style cart service was ineffective, as we were never offered a number of the advertised items. The food was underwhelming, with no particularly memorable dishes. Unfortunately, it was difficult to justify the $120+ per person cost given the quality of the experience.

   We felt a little rushed. You can tell they want you in and out. Very tasty but felt like it was hard to savor it all.

   Amazing evening at State Bird!! We had one in our party who had numerous allergies and they came back to us with a menu of what would work with those allergies! Thank you. And, the offerings were delicious. We did a mix of dim sum offerings and main course decisions. The seafood was out of sight: oysters, scallops, and hamachi. Delicious! The dumplings were delicious. State Bird…yum! And, the service was great. Attentive. Knowledgeable. Thank you, State Bird.

    Tolles Konzept! Sie offerieren eine fixe Menükarte, aus welcher man verschiedenste Speisen bestellen kann und daneben kommen sie regelmässig mit neuen, kleineren Tellern vorbei. Was einem passt, probiert man oder skipt bis zur nächsten Runde. Waren nun schon zwei Mal dort und immer noch begeistert. Die Geschmackkombinationen sind top. Hatten unseren Platz jeweils an der Theke, wo Einblick in die Küche gewährt wird. Super spannend!
