We didn’t enjoy the food at all. Hawaiian chicken was under seasoned and bland, pilaf tasted strongly of celery, beef barley soup had no beef, spinach artichoke dip tasted like velveeta and had a pile of raw tomatoes on top, prime rib was disappointing. We will not be going again. The server was lovely though and I felt bad for her that the food was terrible.

Food was just ok, salad bar was great. Service was poor and the bar tender mia They need more servers and a bar tender that tends the bar. Food could use a better presentation.

Food was good and had a great table in the bar. Service started good but it took so long to get our bill. That was a little frustrating. Had tickets to a show but had to hurry.

We met friends for an early dinner. My husband and I shared the “Hawaiian chicken which was overcooked and just okay. He also had the salad bar that was very good and a great variety of choices. One friend ordered onion soup which she really liked but her baked potato was served cold and had to be returned twice until they got it right! The chicken sandwich and fries was good. We all decided we liked the restaurant because it was quiet and we could talk but we wouldn’t choose it again because of food quality. I have been there many times for breakfast and that’s a much better experience. Bonus is Seniors can order from kids menu for $6!

My husband had the top sirloin which tasted of meat tenderizer and was tasteless. Key lime pie was ok. I had a 1/2 rack of ribs and that was very good. Drinks were excellent. Delicious onion rings for first course. We tried the 3 course fixed price menu. Would go back and try other items. Very good server, bartender and hostesses.

We visited Steak and Ale for my BF’s birthday. He wanted to hit up the salad bar he remembered from the old restaurant in Bloomington. After finding out about the amazing 49.99 3 course dinner special we decided to go for that instead. He opted out of the salad bar, and was super happy he did. There was so much food for the both of us (we had leftovers). The ribs and fish we chose were delicious! They even let us take our dessert home which was enough for 3 people, the brownie pie did not disappoint!

The steak that we had had no flavor. The walleye also was not very good.

Service was exceptional. We felt pampered. Husband had walleye filets, garlic mashed potatoes, and grilled asparagus. I had bbq ribs, half rack with same sides plus you get to go to the full salad bar and they bring a loaf of warm bread and butter to your table. We will be back! Very family friendly.
