   Every dish was worth licking the plate over. Every server treated us like we were honored guests in their home. Outstanding experience.

   Everything at Stellar Jay was fabulous. The staff is incredibly attentive and accommodating to our party’s dietary needs. The view from the patio is gorgeous. Can’t wait to go again in the summer.

   Service was “stellar” and food excellent! The entire team did a wonderful job explaining every dish and ingredient! We appreciated the recommendations made by our fabulous server, Christina! We also requested a quiet table and were pleasantly surprised when we were seated at a high top table with a fabulous view of downtown Denver!

   The food was excellent and so was the service. The view was nice too. I had the bison and venison skewers along with the deep fried mushrooms and pea salad. My companion had the pork chop. The cocktails were pretty good as well. I’ll certainly become a regular here for special occasion dinners and drinks.

   Nice place, service can be better, ironic that employees look at you weird if you’re not well dressed. But now I get the rating, the food its amazing, it has a lot of potential due to architectural design but with a need of customers service experienced personnel. Keep it up, this place will be great!

   It being new to the neighborhood it seemed a great idea to try Stellar Jay in the new Populus Hotel. One unusual element is that when you enter the hotel you have to go through a security procedure and then wait for someone to "let" you onto the elevator to the top floor. Once there we found quite a nice room and a very nice outside deck with views over the capital and the city. We also had exemplary service personnel and service. The problem we had was that the noise was near to unbearable. I guess that young ears love that level of excitement, but we couldn't comfortably talk (there were 4 of us) and in some cases couldn't hear a thing other than the incredible noise. The menu was quite small and there was nothing I particularly wanted. My wife and the other lady shared a few of the small plates and found them very good. The other guy and I each had the trout which was "average". I eat a lot of trout and this would not bring me back to this restaurant. We had some really excellent French chardonnay from a tiny wine list. Based on the noise, especially, and a menu which did not have anything I really wanted this is not a restaurant to which I would return any time soon, but it you want an imaginative menu and like the noisy beat of the center city this is a place you should certainly consider. It's quite new and I will watch with interest if and when the menu develops.
