   I have NEVER written a negative review, so rest assured Stellina has earned it. Having a husband who is a chef I fully understand what goes into building a restaurant and keeping it afloat (as well as the possible repercussions of negative reviews). I tried to make my displeasure known but it fell on the manager’s deaf ears. We had a reservation for 6pm and at exactly 6pm we sat down at our table. The food was quite good but the portions were small, especially taking into consideration the pricing. What was most displeasing, was within five minutes of getting our coffee/tea for dessert we were given the check. Five minutes after that we were asked if we had taken care of the bill (we had not) and within 2 minutes the manager came to tell us people were waiting for our table and we needed to leave. We explained that there was still coffee/tea in our cups, we were not finished, yet the manager said that we must give up the table. She said that the policy is even stated on open table - which I don’t see anywhere. We were on the street by 7:35! It was embarrassing.

   Everything about Stellina is wonderful! The staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is absolutely outstanding.

   Very nice Pizza and Pasta local restaurant. Don’t go beyond the basics and the food is okay. Recommend it for pizza, pasta and salad.

   Tried Stellina's Wednesday night prix fixe menu. There are some nice choices on the menu and since we were a group of five, we tried a few different dishes. The starters we chose were the pizza margherita, arugula salad and the meatballs. The pizza was okay and might have been good if allowed to cook longer. The slices were greasy and floppy. The arugula salad and the meatballs were very good. Entree selections were the hamburger, the strozzapreti pasta and the roast chicken. The diner who ordered the burger thought is was very good. The two who ordered the pasta thought is was okay, but not great. The roast chicken was served as a whole roast chicken (small, maybe it was a hen?) and looked beautiful. Sadly, it had zero flavor. The accompanying sauces on the plate also had no taste. On to dessert - vanilla and chocolate gelato or tiramisu. There is no way that was gelato. It was ice cream - down to the "tingles" we all remember from chinese restaurant ice cream. The tiramisu was a square of soaked sponge cake topped with cream. Dinner was accompanied by a carafe of wine (choice of cabernet franc or sauvignon blanc). Honestly, the best part of dinner was the bread accompanied by the most wonderful garlic butter. The service was wonderful. But on a cold night, you freeze every time the door opens. Not sure why they did away with the double entry that blocks some of the cold that Osteria Leanna used to have, but they should consider bringing it back. Overall, not a bad value for the money, but the food needs way more flavor.

   Our server was excellent. The staff were very attentive and helpful. It was a little difficult understanding some of the items on the menu, but our server was very patient in making everything clear. Definitely recommend the weekday price fixe menu. It was a great value with a nice selection. Just one suggestion when making a reservation through Open Table when you put in standard seating, the covered patio comes up. This is something I did not want and did not choose. The restaurant was more than happy to clear this up.

    Such a lovely experience. The pancakes with berries and cream were outstanding - best I have ever had!
