   Make sure to bring a torch as you get seated in a pitch black room. Know what you're getting before hand otherwise trying to look through the menu using a madevial method of a lit candle to see may prove difficult. Service took 15 mins to get our drinks order and each course took 15 mins to arrive. Make sure to bring a cushion. We opted for the set menu ‘set for success’ I would say we were set for failure when our starters never came and only until they took everything away we had to remind them we hadn't finished eating. We wanted more off the menu but our stuff was cleared as in ‘You’re done now’ our starters then came 25 mins after our final plate and felt an awkward tone in the air. Whacked on a 20% service tip when we didn't even get asked if we want another drink or anything else. Noted this on the site to be a celebration and not once we're we asked what we were celebrating. Well. P.s the food itself was very nice but this is our favourite restaurant and were let down this time

   Food was great, service was poor. We were rushed to order, had our dishes removed very quickly (some still with food on and without being asked if we were finished), and when we actually wanted to grab the attention of a server had great difficulty as they were very busy clearing and serving all other tables without a glance at us. Despite being rushed to order, we had to wait 15-20mins for our post-meal drinks to arrive, which we could see standing on the bar waiting for a server to bring them. When they did arrive, the hot tea was lukewarm and the cocktails (specifically the chocolate orange old fashioned) had become a murky mess because it had been sat so long. Once the drinks did finally arrive, we were immediately asked to move from our table as the next guests had arrived and we were "using up space that others could eat at". We hadn't even taken a sip of our drinks! We were out for a birthday meal, which we specified on the booking and requested "anything you can do to make our meal a little special". Other than an acknowledgement when we first arrived that it was a birthday, there was not a single extra effort made and we were met with poor service throughout. All in all we felt like a complete inconvenience to the servers, who were keen to get us in, out, and pay the bill so they could move on to the next group. Doubt we'll be dining here again, particularly at the high premium paid for the pleasure. The food is fantastic though so all compliments to the kitchen.

   Sadly we were asked to leave early because it seemed a fire in Westgate had triggered an evacuation order, but the food etc was as usual superb to that point!

    Gorgeous!!! Pricey but delicious. Really enjoyed it, big menus are actually a pretty good deal. Got a surprise ice cream with candle for my birthday!
