   We sat down at 19:00 - we had our first drinks at 19:40. The food came before our drinks. We waited 40 mins for the drinks, which is ridiculous. Then they charged us for the drinks. Was not happy with the service & will not come back.

   Avoid the brunch - it’s not bottomless. The service is very slow even though there is plenty of staff walking around. They are attentive and you will have to flag someone down to order another drink and then wait 10 mins for it to be poured, wait on the side and then someone to bring it to you - even though your table is next to the bar. The managers reasoning for the chaotic service was that bottomless brunch is new. If the staff aren’t capable of providing the service required then the restaurant shouldn’t be charging for it. Stick to Roka if you want an enjoyable brunch.

   Good meal overall, venue is very nice but music is a bit intrusive, I love house music but don't need it playing loudly whilst I eat my dinner.. We shared the "Set for Success" meal which is supposedly for 3 people, it was very tasty but barely filled 2 people and was quite expensive, service was very good and although we had a long wait for our drinks the waitress comped us a free dessert which was fair, overall a nice but fairly expensive night out. Will try another branch and see how they compare.

    I don’t think they managed to hit the spot with all of the dishes we ordered. The crab croquettes were hot and crispy in the outside but luke warm on the inside. The chicken karrage, hot and crispy on the outside but luke warm and watery inside. Both would have been perfect if cooked slightly longer. Underwhelming: Sushi rolls. Lacking flavour, difficult to distinguish one maki roll to the other. Seaweed salad was let down by the dressing. Mild to bland when it should have been tangy and punchy. Dishes done well: Ebi prawns, cauliflower, mackerel on skewers. A real shame not all the culinary skills have not been transferred from the Soho branch. More miss than hit at Shoreditch. Looking forward to improvements.
