  • Bistro Menu - 2 for £20

    Mar 3, 2025 - May 31, 2025
Dine from our Bistro Menu for some lovely dishes at amazing value. 2 courses for £20 or 3 for £23. It’s available from 12 until 6:30 from Monday – Thursday and before 4pm on Fridays. We’ve worked hard with our chefs to strip things back and keep things really simple. It’s good, hearty, tasty stuff served to you by a team who love what they do. And sometimes you don’t need anything more than that. Our menu changes monthly and is subject to availability, please go to our website or check social media for updates.

A lovely 3-course dinner with cocktails and wine. Fantastic service from Natalya and Hattie. The vegan choices were delicious, as were the other dishes. Very interesting and tasty cocktails, too! Pricey, but definitely worth it for a special night out.

Excellent food, really good engaging service and a relaxed environment. Everything a night out at a restaurant should be and perhaps a little bit more.

First time here but definitely not our last! Booked dinner for 1830hrs saturday night. Sat ustairs. Clientele superb, service superb ambience superb and the food was outstanding. Would definitely recommend this venue. One little thing. A service charge is added to your bill. I personally do not like this American trait! I always tip for good service and food etc etc.

Lovely little restaurant with a few tables downstairs and slightly more space upstairs . The menu had plenty of options I opted for the duck leg confit which was delicious and husband had the cod loin which he thought was excellent. We opted for 2 courses so finished with set cream with rhubarb and warm Parkin with ice cream and a glass each of pedro ximinez sherry . Perfectly paced service wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

First and last experience at Sticky Walnut. Went on a recommendation after wanting to try for a long time. The unwelcoming arrival set the tone. The waitress lacked any personality or warmth throughout the evening. Whilst she offered to hang up our coats, we had to grab them ourselves at the end of this nightmare. When presented with the menu, it was incredibly confusing and hectic, and wasn’t even explained to us. The alcohol free drinks were pleasant, however the empty bottles remained on the table for the majority of the evening. Alongside this lack of care and attention, we had to refill our waters. Something I could understand if the restaurant was busy, however there was only two tables. On arrival of the starter, they were simply placed down without any care. The food and presentation of the first course was pleasant. However the enjoyment didn’t last at all long, when dirty napkins weren’t replaced, and the waitress had still Failed to engage in any conversation. Next our mains arrived, which presented another disappointment. They lacked any care, attention to detail, or flavour that warranted the price we were paying. My duck main course was dry, flavourless, and was strangely accompanied by a lump of tenderstem broccoli. This wasn’t ordered nor outlined on the menu, almost an afterthought to combat the over producing in the kitchen. As for the signature truffle and Parmesan chips, these were a welcome addition. However the burnt scraps that clearly hadn’t been cleaned or removed were not. Our plates were finally cleared, yet remained in view on the kitchen pass throughout the evening. The waitress then came and placed two menus (to add to the one we already had) on the table. I guessed this was a hint towards desert, however as the waitress didn’t utter a word. Throughout the evening, instead of engaging with her customers, the waitress merely half arsedly laid tables for tomorrow. An overall disappointment.

First time here for myself and better half , decided on the three course Sunday afternoon meal.At forty one pounds each before drinks and service charge I have to admit I did think it was a tadge expensive but the standard of food, presentation and service probably warranted the cost ,the food was of a high standard and we both enjoyed it a lot , looking at some of the midweek deals you can have it's understandable why this restaurant has got it's good reputation and we would certainly look in the future to revisit for some more fine dining.

Fantastic Sunday Roast (beef). Custard tart was exceptional and should be made a permanent addition to the menu!
