Our party of 3 sat at the Su Room Sushi Bar on the side edge. We got to see all the preparations and chat with the Chef, Sarah. She dazzled us on the 3-course chef's tasting menu. Every bite was divine and beautifully prepared. Our server, Martin, was excellent, helpful, and friendly. The cocktails and sake were delicious. Loved the ambiance and vibe. Truly memorable for us and we hope to come back someday when we visit the area again.

The food and the service were excellent. One of the best sushi meals we’ve had in a long time. We will be back.

Truly supermarket-grade sushi, overloaded to disguise poor quality, as it has been since the departure of chef Hattori (Masayuki-San). It takes its place among the worst in a town (with the exception of Izanami) distinguished by bad sushi restaurants. May the sushi gods reward us someday with a truly good sushi place!

We had the chefs selection menu - Omakase. All three courses were excellent.

Best sushi/japanese restaurant in Santa Fe, no doubt! I was spoiled by Japanese food in Shanghai and in LA, rather disappointed at the Japanese restaurants here until I tried Su last night. The ingredients are fresh, flavors brilliantly combined without compromising the authenticity of Japanese cuisine. We got the restaurant week special and another 75 dollar set, some sake, a Japanese manhattan, it was a lot of food but left us felt not heavy at all. Highly recommended.

The new and unfortunate addition of the refrigerated case atop the sushi bar is unpleasant. No longer can we easily interact with the chef and a bunch of trays of cellophane fish is unappetizing. I wish the ownership had chosen to consult a design firm to place the cases, if necessary, in a different orientation. It’s simply ugly and uncomfortable to stare into a poorly lit refrigerator if you are trying to emulate a high end sushi bar experience. I hope the ownership will reconsider their placement elsewhere. Thank you.

We had an excellent experience at Su! We went for Santa Fe Restaurant Week, though none of my party ordered the Restaurant Week prix fixe menu. This is some of the best sushi I've had in NM -- Izanami being the other excellent option, but the Su menu is much more sushi-focused which is nice. I ordered the mixed platter and every piece of fish I received was fresh and delicious. We sat at the side of the sushi bar and the sushi chef was very kind and interactive with us, even though the restaurant was absolutely swamped. The service we received was prompt and efficient despite the crowd, and the physical space of the restaurant was very lovely. I will absolutely be back and am excited to take visiting guests there for a fun Tesuque adventure.

We went to Su Sushi for valentines day pre-fixe menu, which may have been our mistake. Everything we ate seemed to have been prepared much earlier (including the tempura items, which came out refrigerator cold). The fish seemed to be high quality but everything else was really poorly done. The desert, tempura bananas and matcha cheesecake, was laughably bad. The miso soup was good and so was the yellowtail collar. We had the sake pairing which consisted of three pours of sake, two of which were approximately half-ounce pours and one was a more normal sized two-ounce pour. The sake was good but the first two pours were so tiny that it was hard to really enjoy them. We were told that because it was a holiday, the drink menu was limited to a few items, only to see other tables choose from a larger variety. The insult added to the injury was that after tip, for two people, the bill came out to ~$320.

Lots of food that was so very delicious. Service was not great as we felt ignored several times through the meal. Appreciated that our wait person provided a gluten-free desert. Soup was a bit fishy; sushi plate was amazing; matcha cheesecake was very dry.
