Discover the taste of quintessential Jamaican cuisine, refined with a modern day twist. Enchanting island flavours are infused into every dish with herbs and spices grown right here in our garden. At Half Moon Resort we are committed to sourcing locally grown and seasonal produce. The Sugar Mill Restaurant is as historic as it is iconic. You will be overcome by a sense of awe as you enter the former Running Gut Estate. It is nestled in an alcove beside a 17th century water mill. You can feel the history within the existing walls that once served as the foundation of a sugar cane plantation dating back to 1676.

    When we arrived, it took us almost 10mins before we were acknowledged but the Hostess did apologize for the delay. It was my Birthday and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and the ambiance. The lobster thermidor was chef’s kiss. They were kind enough to offer a birthday plate for dessert and sang happy birthday too. I loved every minute of it and was a great experience for my second time back.

    Delicious food (the lobster proved unique and the oxtail pasta excellent), attentive service and a beautiful venue. Wonderful end to our time in Jamaica.

    Amazing restaurant. The surroundings were so beautiful and calm. The food was amazing and the staff were amazing. They made my birthday very special and I loved it. Would definitely go back again.

    Sugar Mill Restaurant was lovely. The atmosphere is wonderful. Staff is friendly. The food was cooked perfectly. I would recommend this restaurant as the top on the island.

    This restaurant was as advertised, a true beautiful dining experience. Between the service, the portions and the quality of food, everything was perfect. They keep you cleverly entertained with appetizers and palette cleansers as you await your Main course. I had both their lobster dish and the beef tenderloin. It had been awhile that i've had perfectly cooked Medium rare beef, the chef got it spot on. That attention to detail, coupled with the customer service will have me always going back. Its my favorite restaurant in Jamaica.

    The best of the best! Great service, excellent food and the staff is just amazing! We came 3 times in a row even we had AI at our 5star hotel which is a another whole story!
