Sun Moon Studio is a farmer and producer-driven restaurant in West Oakland by Chefs Alan Hsu and Sarah Cooper.

We offer a multi-course tasting menu for $150 per person in our intimate 4 table dining room. An optional beverage pairing is available for $90 per person.The focus of our menu is to highlight the bounty of local producers and farmers through the lens of our life experiences.

We are happy to adjust our menu to dietary restrictions, but require advanced notice. Please let us of your party's dietary restrictions when making a reservation so we may plan for your arrival.

Multiple dates available
Farm and producer driven tasting menu in West Oakland in an intimate 4 table restaurant, by Chefs Alan Hsu and Sarah Cooper. Multi-course prix-fixe menu featuring local and sustainably sourced ingredients directly from farmers, ranchers, producers, and fishermen interpreted through the lens of Northern California Cuisine. We will gladly prepare for dietary restrictions as long as there is advanced notice. Please note that a credit card number is required at the time of reservation. This is not a deposit and charges of $75/person will only be applied for cancellations or reduction of party size within 3 days of reservation date.

Fantastic dining experience. The entire tasting menu was fabulous and so creative. So glad to have a culinary experience like this in Oakland. Highly recommend without reservation. Worth every penny for this exquisite gastronomical experience!!!!

Stunning dinner filled with so many creative and delicious bites. I could eat it all over again (and again and again). Highlights of the immediate moment (without just highlighting the whole darn thing)-- the Taiwanese style sausage with the softest bun, the crispy salt and pepper pumpkin, the tofu and uni, the shiso ice cream!!! Cannot wait to come back.

Delightful. Full of care. Our time there was a pleasure; full of diverse flavors, nuance and variety of textures, familiarity and surprises. The space is intimate, softly bustling, and it feels peaceful and fun to enjoy a meal with loved ones here. Delicious beverages too! ☺️
