   Got omakase for three of us. First of all the value was very good. They give you a lot of good quality sushi for a very reasonable price. The sweet shrimp, uni, and tororo were both very good and buttery. The miso soup served towards the end of the meal was also memorable. I didn’t enjoy the appetizer which tasted mostly of radish than fish. I also liked the presentation of the tempura but didn’t like that it was served in the sauce. Once the tempura fell into the sauce, the tempura became soft and mushy. The dessert was a scoop of Japanese flavored ice cream which is a classic ending but not memorable at all.

   1st ever lunch there as dinner usual meal there or to-go. Food good as always, but WORST service there ever or anywhere for that matter…worse than the worst Denny’s or IHOP or dive diner ! Rika was lady server in back room, totally gone & missing except to bring food…no clean paper napkins or new plates for new dishes or water or tea refill…despite charges for. At end of meal, no Rika anywhere & older lady server said “she left, lunch was near over”…did Rika or anyone tell us ? Nope. New Owner Shige there but remove & not running his biz. Sad. Yes, $200. bill for 2 for lunch & 0/10 HORRIBLE service !

   One of San Diego's best sushi restaurants located in Pacific Beach not too far from Sea World. The toro is a must for belly cut lovers. Omakese depends on the season, but in my opinion never disappoints with an open mind and stomach.

   Since I found this little gem I’ve done nothing but admire it. I now live in San Francisco but I fly down here for this sushi. This place needs a Michelin nod at the very least.
